Question about GPX MW3837 MP3 Player

1 Answer

I am able to download songs and albums from Spiral Frog to my Insignia mp3 player, but when I try to play the song or album the player either freezes or cuts out the the "Insignia" symbol which always comes up when I first turn the player on. If I rip cds to the player, they play just fine. It used to play downloaded songs from Spiral Frog just fine until last weekend, then suddenly quit playing the songs. I removed all spiral frog songs, closed my account, reopened it, redownloaded them, but they still do not play. What is the problem?

Trying to sync songs

Unfortunately, the Pearl only recognized an earlier version of Windows DRM, so it is not compatible with the Spiral Frog version. The firmware upgrade does not resolve this issue. Unfortunate, too, because I love Spiral Frog. Your only solution is illegal - buy a DRM-stripper, and load the stripped files to your player.

Will not play songs in ALBUM order

yes, this player is naturally alphabetical, but you can re-edit the track #'s in the id3 tag, and then retransfer the song to the goGear - should work

Album art not loading

I not entirely 100% sure, but the album art is only supported with WMA, as the album art image is embedded inside of the wma files themselves and not stored separately on the mp3 player.

I can't play my songs

Well to purchase the rights for the song you can (and should !!) use Napster. Its completely legal, the software is free. You can choose to pay per month for a thing called napster to go. You can have that cause your mp3 player is comatible with that special. its 15 $ a month, you get unlimited downloads to your mp3 player! and all legally. Or you have the option to buy songs or albums for 1,19$ the song or about 9,99$ the album. And the selection of artist is huge. go to www.napster.com for usa, and www.napster.ca for canada.
