The dvd player should be labeled on the back as video out and conversly the tv should have something similar on its jacks. If the tv has multiple rows of jacks they should be marked as to what source they are. To use the dvd player you may have to change the source input on the tv.
As an example: I have my dvr hooked up to the comp 1 jacks and the dvd hooked up to component 2. when I want to use the dvd I hit the source button on the remote until it is at comp 2. If you power up the dvd first the dvd menu should show up when you change the source. If you have a multi remote then make sure you press tv before you change the source.

Mukhhe,

good day,to connect your DVD to TV screen follow this steps.

1) prepare your RCA cable ( 3 colored cable yellow/red/white)
note: always remember this

yellow = video
red and white = Audio (left and right)

2) at the back or front display of your TV screen you'll see RCA socket marked as "AV1 input" "AV2 input" etc... if your screen is only mono sound you can only see two sockets Yellow=video white= audio

3) at the back of your DVD player connect the RCA cable following the color code yellow to yellow white to white and red to red. after you connect the cable to your dvd player now connect the other end of thr RCA to your TV screen input.

make sure you'll connect it to "A/V input" not "A/V out" then after connecting all the cables, from the remote commander of your TV screen press a button indicating "A/V" some mark as "TV/AV" press this button until your screen display the back ground display of your DVD player.

cheers,
mark

Tying to hook-up my 1100 dvd player to tv I have the three cables white yellow and red audio out to audio in on tv. the recoder plays but no picture. is the a certain channel i should be on?

The connection should be the cable box out to the DVD in, the DVD out to the set. The DVD should have a channel select, Either 3 or 4- set it to the channel that is not used by the cable decoder. which should also have a switch for 3 or 4.

Then all you do is switch between channel 3 or channel 4 with the TV remote or by TV channel buttons. One will be cable, the other will be the DVD.

Proscan PS8682P dvd player. It has been over a

so you have two problems: how to connect to (ex: tv),so for this. the cable box has a scart port? if so use a scart/rca adapter available on the market, use on VCR out (Cable Box) and select IN the adapter to IN/OUT switch. and connect to dvd player. The other Scart Port labeled TV connect to TV set with a scart cable. Now u can see tv, and switch automatic to dvd if DVD is on.

The Bad Disc error is a Laser DVD lens defective, needs to be replaced, send to repair.

I received a cobydvd224 as a gift but don't know how to connect to my cable box-pls help

There may be several ways, depends on your TV. Your TV may have: HDMI, Component, Standard Video, or RF in. You need to match one of those connections to the DVD players available connects. For example... if you have a newer HD TV your cable may be connected to the component input of the TV if there's an HDMI input on the TV and an HDMI output on the DVD Player, simply connect them together and put the TV in HDMI mode.

I know it's confusing sometimes, but read the book and you should be able to figure it out. Let me know if I can help more...

I need help connecting sony dvp ns 300 to a jvc tv. I can't watch dvd at all, confused about the wiring where does it go?

The CD/DVD player has three output ports:
(i) Line out Video used to connect the yellow pin of composite cable.
(ii) S-video out use d to connect an S-video cable.
(iii) Component video out (red, blue, green) used to connect a component video cable.

So, in order to connect the CD/DVD player to the TV, the TV should have either of the corresponding input port on it.

However, the video quality transmitted by component video cable will be the best among the three.

So, you may connect the TV and the CD/DVD player using an appropriate cable.

All the above connections require an additional audio cable to transmit audio from the CD/DVD player to the TV.
In this case, you may use an RCA (red and white) audio cable to connect the "R and L" audio out port on the CD/DVD player to the corresponding "R and L" audio in port on the TV.

Performing all the above steps will help you get the DVD player work with the TV.

wish u good luck!!!!!!!!!!

Help I am confused. After I have connected my new Sony DVD player to my TV which remote so I use. The one from my digital cable service or the DVD player remote? I turned the DVD player on and it says...

use the remote that came with the DVD. If you want to use the cable remote, you need to program it using the codes in the manual that came with the cable box or remote.

the numbers usually mean an error. commonly, C 13:00 means that the Disk is dirty.

Trying to connect dvd player

You will have to connect your DVD player to the plasma TV, not the cable box. The cable box (or most cable boxes) have video outputs only. The same is true for the DVD player: it outputs the video to the tv.

Look in your DVD manual for scenarios for connecting your player to the tv.
