Dash not making any text message sound

Hey guys, I dont know whats up with my dash, but the dang thing wont make the notification sound that I got a text message. I checked my phone, its on the normal setting, and it doesnt even vibrate either. When I turn my phone off, and back on, I see that my most recent text messages are completely non existant, meaning they were deleted or something. Anything will help guys.
Thanks

Hi there
Maybe the text and notification did not reset. So try going to settings. From there to sounds and choose the sound and volume for text messages, as well as other sounds,"

I've tried everything, can't get sounds for in coming texts

go to your settings. click on sound. here you should find a notification option and set which ringtone you would like. make sure that you go back to your sound settings or caller settings to make sure the volume is actually turned on for incoming text messages. the reason you might not be getting them is because you have it default in your phone to keep them silent. just browse your setting options for sound or calls where you will find a "volume" option. select that and slide your notification sound over to whatever level you like! hope you found this helpful!

I want my PC to make a sound when I receive a text message or email. I have a dell PC windows7 & am useing gmail. on firefox.

Click Start/Control Panel/Hardware and Sound/Sound/Sounds and scroll down and select new mail notification. Highlight New mail notification and click Test, then click OK.

Also check you email client (the program you use the get your emails (aol, yahoo, gmail, etc.) and see if they have settings in them for notifications, most do.

Check the software you use to get text messages for settings on notifications to get sounds or alerts when a text message comes.

Hey Carlanoelle!

Tmobile dash wont show 3 messages

Have you tried rebooting the phone? If this doesn't work then there might have been a network error. Try calling your carrier.

Dash wont send texts to other services!!!

I had the exact same problem a week or so ago. Customer service simply had me take out my battery and leave it out for a few minutes and then put it back in and turn the phone on again. She said that what that does is refresh your phone to the network and it is a good thing to turn your phone on and off on occasion. It solved the problem for me...

No alert when sending text message.

Start | Settings | Sound & Notifications (make sure Events is checked). Check out the Notifications tab, too for more control.

Text message alerts

In PhoneStart-->Settings and Sounds&Notifications, you can set each notification sound/light/vibration setting for several different things on the phone.

If you want to disable the message after sending an SMS message, go to : http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/ppc6700hacks.shtml

and install that on your phone for MANY more options. Your SMS message notification disable is the first option on the program!
