Question about Microsoft Remote Desktop (V3H011652)

Remote Desktop Log In

Its my first time using Microsoft Remote Desktop and for some reason, I cant log in to my user account. Its giving me an error ...

"INVALID USERNAME OR PASSWORD".

How can that be since I use that "administrator" account and password all the time? It appears that i'm connected since I could see the login screen and my account name, it also displays the "Windows Vista Business" (the OS for the PC that i'm trying to connect to) at the bottom part of the screen.

I did the port forwarding 3389 TCP/UDP definitions, allowed RDC on norton firewall settings.... am i missing something ???

I'm Desperate!!!... HELP!

    check user permission try logging in with admin account. You should not have any active firewall in your system

Check firewall settings and try logging in with admin accounts

Make sure that you have the correct username at the log in screen. If not choose to log in under another user and select your account. If the account is a life account, you can reset online through Microsoft.

Netflix offers users the ability to rent movies and TV shows through the mail on DVD or Bluray and also allows users to watch select shows or movies online using a computer or certain other devices. Occasionally users encounter errors when attempting to log in to their Netflix accounts. These errors can be as simple as an incorrectly typed password to more complex issues with the Netflix service itself.

Credential Problems b> Many login problems are caused by an incorrect email address or password when attempting to log in. This can be due to typos or other misspellings, or recent password changes that were forgotten. Netflix offers the ability to recover passwords and usernames via the "Need Help Signing In?" link below the login fields on the Netflix home page. Clicking the link allows the user to recover her password by entering her email address, and also gives the option to advance to a second recovery screen if she does not have access to that email address anymore. The second screen allows the user to prove her identity by entering the first name, last name and credit card number associated with the Netflix account. Service Errors b> Login problems occasionally occur due to errors with the Netflix service itself. When these problems occur, a message appears that explains a site error has occurred, directing the user back to the Netflix home page. The user should attempt logging in again in case of a one-time error, though site-wide service errors do occasionally occur. Depending on the nature of the error, once logged in the user may experience problems when trying to watch movies instantly or attempting to edit his DVD queue. Site-wide service errors do not affect the ability of Netflix to send and receive movies by mail. Account Problems b> If a problem exists with a user's Netflix account due to a failed payment attempt, the user can still log in but is directed to a page informing him of the problem instead of his standard account home page. Until the problem is resolved, he will be unable to watch movies instantly, receive DVD or Blu-ray discs from the service and will be required to return any movies currently at his home to avoid additional fees. Account problems can typically be resolved by authorizing Netflix to retry the last payment attempt on the user's credit card or by supplying a new credit card number for payment purposes. Device Connection Errors b> When attempting to watch movies or TV shows on Netflix-ready devices such as a Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 or Roku streaming media player connection errors sometimes occur while the device attempts to log in to the user's Netflix account. These errors may occur because the Internet connection the devices use is not properly configured, limited bandwidth to and from the user's home or problems with the device-specific version of the Netflix service. If the device cannot connect and log in to Netflix, the user should check the device's Internet connection and try connecting again later.

You cannot log into your accounts? Try going into the one account you can log into, and removing the passwords from the other accounts in the "Control Panel"

For windows Xp Try
  1. Click on Start and then Control Panel.
  2. Click on the User Accounts link.
    Note: If you're viewing the Classic View of Control Panel, double-click on the User Accounts icon.
  3. In the pick an account to change area of the User Accounts window, click on your Windows XP user name.
  4. Choose the Remove my password link.
  5. In the text box on the next screen, enter your current password.
  6. Click the Remove Password button to confirm that you'd like to remove your account password.
  7. You can now close the User Accounts window and the Control Panel window.
  8. Now that your Windows XP account password has been deleted, you will no longer need to log on to Windows XP when your computer starts. Windows will now load all the way to your desktop automatically.

I want to reset my computer password



When you boot up to the log in screen type in administrator to log in if you cant log in

during the boot up process you will see on the screen for a short amount of time press a certain key to enter set up

Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set user password or supervisor password you can change or remove your password from there

or

control panel user accounts

on the users tab,click the name of the computer administrator you can change the password there

Windows xp pro logon error message "unable to log you on because your account has been locked out"


Hey!
If your computer is a part of a business network, you should contact the network administrator so he/she would setup or reconfigure your user account correctly.

If it's a home computer, you'll have to log on as Administrator to unlock your account. To do so:
  1. Click Start -> Log off (user name).
  2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice.
  3. Type Administrator in the user name and fill in the Administrator account's password. Leave blank if there isn't any.
  4. Once logged in, Click Start -> Run...
  5. Type in: LUSRMGR.MSC and click OK.
  6. Double-click on Users folder.
  7. Double-click on your locked user account.
  8. Uncheck "Account is disabled" and click OK.
  9. Close "Local Users and Groups" window.
  10. Click Start -> Log off Administrator.
  11. Login to your user account!
Note: If you don't have access to the Administrator account (because you don't have the password), please do tell and I'll give you the instructions on how to reset it.

Answer: To resolve this issue, make sure that you are logged in as an Administrator:
  1. For Microsoft® Windows XP:

    1. Click the Microsoft® Windows® Start button, choose Settings, and then choose Control Panel.

    2. Double-click User Accounts. The accounts listed near the bottom will specify whether the account is Limited Access or Computer Administrator.

    3. Assign Computer Administrator to the account that you log in with.

    4. Try to install the program again.

  2. For Microsoft® Windows® 2000:

    1. Click the Windows Start button, choose Settings, and then choose Control Panel.

    2. Double-click Users and Passwords, and then click the User tab.

    3. Select the user name that you log in with under User Name, and then click Properties.

    4. Click the Group Membership tab, and then select Administrators from the Other drop-down list.

    5. Click Apply, and then try to install again.

Computer won't load user accounts


This commonly happens on pirate versions of windows.

Remote Login Failure


This message means that the user account you are trying to use does not have rights to log on remotely. You need to go to the server, log on as an administrator at the console. Once logged in, add the user account you want to use to the local "Remote Desktop Users" group.
