Acer 5820T quit while using and won't restart

While playing a card game computer just quit and will not restart. Computer was connected to charger and battery showed full charge.

Take out the battery and replace after some mins. If this doesn't work, remove the ram and place it back

    It still did not start. Other ideas? Does this mean the motherboard? How difficult is it to replace?

The first thing I suggest is to plug in your laptop then pull the cord under your laptop tug it towards you if you are able to obtain a connection use your laptop2.gif to hold the cord. Thats what I am doing now
If that does not work find the spot where you can connect ( by tugging cord back and forth or up and down) and hold the connection with tape or a clamp.

Your adapter port might have been improperly adjusted. Jiggle the cord around in there while it's plugged in to see if the plugged in light comes on. If it does then that's your problem. You can prob things under it to keep it at that point for a quick fix but I'd recommend a local computer shop for repairs.

It sounds like the battery charging ac cable might be faulty.. You might want to go to a local shop and see if they could try another cable before you go out and spend money on a new one. They usually will try a cable to see if that's the problem.. Please let me know if this washelpful and if it solved the problem and good luck..

it won't let you play that game because you haven't got a 3D compatible graphics card. you need to go buy a 3D graphics card.

My computer won't play the counter strike game

This will be because your computer is not supporting high end graphics. This game requires high-end graphics as well as good video resolution graphics card.

If you are saying that you have good resolution graphics card then I think you can also check for DirectX drivers for windows platforms which are useful while playing high-end graphics games.

Aspire 5820t reinstalled win7 home prem 64bit, can't get Network Controller to work. Installed all drivers from http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/drivers, but still won't work, therefore...
You should first check if in your Device Manager your Network Card is being recognized, and make sure there is no errors (a yellow triangle would be displayed). If it is there, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers.
You can also go into your BIOS setup when starting up the computer, and make sure it's enabled. If none of this works, to get your WIFI Fob working, you probably need to disable your Network Card first in the BIOS before your Fob will work.

From here, choose 'Notebook', then 'Aspire', then on the next box that appears, scroll down to '5820T'. A new window will appear; click on the 'Document' tab, and the first listing is for the Generic User Guide (click on the orange arrow on the left of the listing).

Most of the time the bios password can be reset by simply pulling the CMOS battery out of the motherboard. The CMOS battery is the little watch battery the resides on the motherboard.

Beings that its a laptop, it may be harder to get to it. Try looking in the manual on how to get to the battery, this should provide all the information you need. If you need more help please reply and i will do my best to help.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This sounds like your Video card might not be compatible with the game you are playing. You might need a better video card. Before you do anthing else, check to see if your computer is fast enough to play it.

Big games can crash slow computers, also it could just be a bad monitor.

Try checking the cord between the monitor and the computer.
