Question about HTC G1
I just got a new, larger memory micro SD card for my G1 phone. How do I transfer the stored photos and music from the old SD card to the new one on phone?
Plug your G1 to your PC via a USB cable that came with it .., once you plug it in you'll get a notification entitled USB connected .. select it and then choose mount ... once thats done open your My computer icon , you'll see an exrta drive that wasn't there be4 somethig like K or M .. open that and you'll see all the content of your SD card .. copy and past everything to a folder anywhere in your computer ... then all you gotta do is replace the SD card , repeat the same proccess but then time copy everything back to your new SD card .

In the case of hidden files on your g1 sd card, you may want to create a disk image of your first sd card.
I had switched my sd card from my blackberry to my new g1. It was formatted as FAT16. I used it for a while, but I didn't want to keep it's current formatting.
I created a disc image on my mac using disk utility, formatted my sd card as FAT32, then restored data again using disk utility.
The same principles apply to your problem. You could do something similar on windows with a program like ImgBurn.
