I have a 12 guage model 1897 pump that belonged to my grandfather. Great old gun for sure. And I'm not worried about the value because I'll be leaving it to my Son or Grandson.

The 311 was in production for 20 years with the A,B,C,D,E serial prefix from 1968 to 88 so from that your one is a 1980-81 approx age

Is there an extra shim on the arbor that is pushing the blade off alignment?

I was just given a Pro line model BL4-738D. It belonged to the mother of a friend of mine. Mother passed away, friend does not sew. It does have an instruction booklet I could copy and mail to you. This machine is 22 years old. Does that sound like it would work for you? email [email protected]

D=S+20 (Dad is 20 years older than Son)
D+10 = 2xS (In ten years Dad will be twice Son's current age)
therefore (by substitution):
S+20+10 = 2xS
S+30 = 2S
2S = S+30
2S-S = 30 (subtract S from both sides)
S = 30 (Son's current age) *answer*
D = S+20
D = 30+20
D = 50 (Dad's current age) *answer*

In ten years, Dad will be 60, which is twice Son's current age of 30.
