Question about Hitachi 55HDM71 55 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television
The lines are about one and a half inches thick and run from north to south
I don't know how integrated the driver circuitry is with the display but the screen is addressed like a matrix (XY) and some of the drive circuits for those areas have died. This could be an expensive problem; I hope you have some remaining or and extended warranty.
