Where does the small black tube go thats around pressure switch

I can't find out where the black tube that goes to the pressure shut off valve. The black tube comes from the back of the tank under the motor mount and ends up around the safety pressure valve.I cant find a picture of the safety valve and shut off switch to see where the tube goes. It now leaks air out this tube. If anybody can send a picture of where the tube is supposed to go it would be appriciated. Thanks

SOUNDS LIKE ITS THE UNLOADER LINE. IT SHOULD ATTACH TO THE SIDE OF THE PRESSURE SWITCH SO THAT WHEN IT CUTS OFF THE ELECTRIC SWITCH TRIPS A VALVE TO UNLOAD THE AIR FROM THE LINE.

Pump runs and runs

You can take the cover off the switch and turn the small nut counterclockwise to lower your high setting, as turning the large one, will change both high and low settings, and this may take care of your problem for now. If you have a indoor pump, the pump may be worn and having a hard time getting up to pressure, or a foot valve plugging up, or small hole in the pipe going into well.

Sounds like a well pump with a leaky foot valve. I beleive you are correct in that it air lockes then when you shut it off the water flows back eliminiting the air lock.

The check valve is bad. When the system builds up pressure and shuts off the check valve prevents water from dropping back down the well line. When the check valve goes bad water drops back down the well line and siphons water back out of the well tank causing the switch to kick on and off constantly. The check valve will between on the well line coming from the drop pipe. It may be making a constant rattling noise as pump is running. Replace the check valve and you should be fine. Also check the pressure in bladder tank it should be 2psi below the "cut-in" pressure for the switch.

Senco air compressor pumps up..when it reaches full pressure it shuts off and then something under the electronic box opens and discharges all of the air.

That is the safety relief valve which means it has gone bad or you need to turn back the high pressure setting about 5 t0 10 psi. When this happens again there should be a small pin in the middle of it that has a metal ring through it. When it goes off push on that pin and if the air coming out stops or shuts off then you need to turn back the psi if not the valve needs replaced.

It is possible that sediment has clogged the opening that supplies the sensing pressure to the switch. Shut down the pump, open a valve to drop pressure completely, remove the tube where it enters the pump body and stick a small wire just into the hole, once that is clear, see if you get water to come out when the pump is activated. Next, you can see if the entire sensing tube is clear by disconnecting the end on the pressure switch and ensuring flow there. Lastly, make sure there is nothing plugging the inlet at the pressure switch. This has a rubber diaphragm in it, so do not stick anything up inside, just ensure that there is no rust/corrosion in the inlet area.

My first thought was that of a water logged tank which causes short cycling, from your notes the tank is good (the tank may be partially water logged though) If the tank is ok and your getting short cycling (and the switch is good) I would guess your check valve down the well has failed. As the pump creates pressure then shuts off the water may be going right back down the well causing the pump to cycle again. This could also account for the poor water pressure as the check valve may be stuck slightly open allowing the system to loose pressure but only allowing a small amount of flow by when running. There could be a leak within the pumps drop-pipe and your loosing pressure through this leak. I expect you'll have to have the pump pulled.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom

Small black tube found loose under top cover, blows air uncontrol

It should be a compression fitting on the bottom of the pressure switch. The tube is what supplies the air for the pressure switch. Disconnect the power before working on the unit.

If you remove the cover, you should be able to get access to it easier.

If you need more help, post a comment.

Thanks,
