Where does the small black tube go thats around pressure switch

I can't find out where the black tube that goes to the pressure shut off valve. The black tube comes from the back of the tank under the motor mount and ends up around the safety pressure valve.I cant find a picture of the safety valve and shut off switch to see where the tube goes. It now leaks air out this tube. If anybody can send a picture of where the tube is supposed to go it would be appriciated. Thanks

SOUNDS LIKE ITS THE UNLOADER LINE. IT SHOULD ATTACH TO THE SIDE OF THE PRESSURE SWITCH SO THAT WHEN IT CUTS OFF THE ELECTRIC SWITCH TRIPS A VALVE TO UNLOAD THE AIR FROM THE LINE.

Water will not turn off

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Water Inlet Valve If the washer is overflowing and power is shut off to the washer, the water inlet valve has failed. Replace it.
Pressure Switch If the washer is overflowing the pressure switch might be defective. The pressure switch is attached to a small tube which is attached to the outer wash tub. As the water level rises the air pressure in the tube increases, once the set water level is reached the pressure switch turns off power to the water inlet valve. Check to be sure the air tube to the pressure switch is clear before replacing the switch.

Low Water Pressure from House Supply If the washer is overflowing the water pressure to the water inlet valve might be too low. The water inlet valve requires a minimum of 20 psi to shut off properly. If the pressure is lower, the valve may not close fully when the power is shut off. This results in the valve leaking water into the washer and causing it to overflow.

When my compressor turns off air starts to come out somewhere around the on and off switch.

If the air leak lasts for about five to ten seconds, it's supposed to do that. It's releasing the pressure in the pump head so it can start up again. If it never stops, your check valve is not working correctly. Follow the main air line, usually a copper tube to where it goes into the tank. The large brass fitting it goes into is the check valve. There should also be a black line running from the check valve to the pressure switch. You have to remove the black airline and copper tube to remove the check valve. If there is something stuck in the valve it may be useable if you can clear it out. If the valve or valve seat is damaged or the spring is broken, replace it.

MY LAARS LITE 2 wont light, the pilot is on, the temporature controls and the presure switch have been replaced...the pool guy is suggesting it could be the gas valve? Thoughts

Often if the pressure switch is open it is because of something keeping the pressuer low rather than a problem with the switch itself. If you take a small wire and bridge the pressure switch and other components in the system. If the heater fires when one of these are bridged that is where your problem. Two wires come from your gas valve and go to the pilot and another two are the safty circut. This is where you will find the components I am talking about. A small black rubber tube covers a place in the wire just above the burners and the pressure switch are the two big trouble spots.
If the black tube is shrunk around the wire then you have had a roll out problem with your flame. If it is your Pressure switch then it could be a dirty filter or a dirty basket. Or it could be a water flow problem and you will have to make all your valves are set to have water run through heater. I hope this helps.

T30 model 2340 is leaking air from around the pressure switch when compressor shuts off. This will last for a few minutes and then when compressor starts and stops it will do it all over again

you have a broken valve. follow the small 1/4 line that comes from the pressure switch, and if it goes to the discharge line from the pump to where it enters the tank, there is a large hex fitting that it is hooked into. drain all the pressure off the tank, and remove the fitting from the tank, this should be a check valve and is stuck open.

If the small line goes to an innerstage cooler between the large and small cylinders, then you have a broken valves in the cylinder head that need to be rebuilt.

Your pressure switch stops the water and allows it to start the next cycle. It's a switch either in the control panel or at the top of the tub with a small tube connected to it which goes down between the inner and outer tub. As the water level increases the air in the tube is compressed until there is enough pressure to make the switch stopping the water from filling. This tube can get clogged and the switch won't work. Remove the tube and clean it out. Blowing on the tube when it's still connected to the switch will make the switch if it's working and clear.

Small black tube found loose under top cover, blows air uncontrol

It should be a compression fitting on the bottom of the pressure switch. The tube is what supplies the air for the pressure switch. Disconnect the power before working on the unit.

If you remove the cover, you should be able to get access to it easier.

If you need more help, post a comment.

Thanks,

Tim

Compressor will not turn off

Most single stage compressors come with a pressure switch set to shut off at 125 - 145 psi. These switches become less efficient over time and will Begin to fail but remain useful. A safety valve (brass plut with pull ring) is installed somewhere on your compressor set to open at aprox. 160psi. If the pressure switch shuts off before the safety valve activates you could probably continue to use the unit. If however you would like to have the unit shut off at 125psi replace the switch any switch that can be installed in the space allowed. The black tubing that you see is the unloader. When the unit reaches set pressure and shuts off, the small valve under the pressure switch will open and release the pressure in the tubing. This allowes the compressor to start with no back-pressure. For max. life of compressor make sure that there are no leaks in system and upplug when not in use.
Pressure switches are sold in pressure ranges from 45psi to 160psi. Some brands are better constructed than others. A squareD switch will give long life being used w/o extension cord. Good Luck
