Do not use this blower. I just removed this exact blower from my gas heater after it electrically caught fire. The wires are only rated for 105 degrees C. The top of the fire box, where the blower is mounted, gets much hotter than that. It is an accident waiting to happen.

We are in need of a heat exchanger for our 1979 Majestic heatilator fireplace. The size is approximately 19"X19". Where can we purchase this item?

Unfortunately, any replacement parts for a 1979 Majestic Fireplace are long gone. Majestic went bankrupt 4 or 5 years ago.

Sorry, I wish I had better news. But, it is what it is. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

I have a china electric fireplace model ND 20-B the blower motor needs to be replaced how hard is this to do and where do i find one

Not a whole lot of information about the fireplace/free standing stove you have. Other than it's a direct import from China and the specs, which didn't list a blower. http://cixijasun.en.made-in-china.com/product/NeCQduwOPHhD/China-Electric-Fireplace-ND-20B-.html

With only the little information about the company, there's not much chance in finding the part (blower) you're looking for. However, 98% of all the electric fireplaces and stoves, like yours are China imports and are made almost identically, but have some replacement parts available. The solution is, finding a similar unit to yours by another manufacturer, that uses the same size and type blower. Most use what are called squirrel cage blowers rated at 120 cfm and is rated for 230 volts. Based on the voltage requirement, I feel pretty sure, it was never sold in the USA. With some online research, you may can find one.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Blade on fireplace heat o lator appears to be turning the wrong way. Heat does not come out of the top of the fireplace. What do I do to be able to take out the heat o later and reverse the fan?

Roger. it depends of whether this is a Gas Fireplace or a Wood Burning Fireplace?

If it's a direct vent gas fireplace, the blower was installed incorrectly. To access the blower, you will have to dismantle most of the interior of the firebox and the burner tray (Interior floor of the firebox). This will involve disconnecting the gas line from the burner. The blower is on the floor of the control compartment and is attached to the rear wall of the control compartment. Whoever installed it, has it aimed in the wrong direction. Which is can of hard to do, since there is an arrow on it, pointing in the UP direction. Once you unplug it, you can take out the sheet metal screws that hold it in place, and it will be quite obvious which way the exhaust should face. Which is UP.

Now that I've told you how to do all of that, I must be totally honest, by telling you, the blower will not increase it's efficiency. Your Direct Vent Gas Fireplace is rated as a Decorative Gas Appliance only. It is not heater rated. In fact, 80 % of all the heat goes out the direct vent. The only real heat, is generated off the glass, once it's hot.

So now, you get the chance to make the decision. With all that's involved, is worth changing the blower and not really gain anything?

If you have a wood burning, brick fireplace Heat-a-Lator, just turning the fan motor around, so that it's pulling air into the chamber, will solve the problem.

I really hope all of this has helped you. If I can be of further assistance please let me know. Thanks.

The 5th button on the remote is flashing from letters to numbers and I do not have a manual to see what it means, where can I get a manual for my Dimplex SOP-270-O - Ovation Heritage Leaf Oak Fireplace

Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF. Unplug the fireplace from the wall outlet and wait 12 to 15 minutes before plugging it back in. Then turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and try manually operating the different functions. If everything operates as it should, put the switch on the fireplace into the Remote position to see if your remote will take back over and function as it should. It is continues to do this contact Dimples USA Technical Support at 888-346-7539 for further instructions. Have you Model # and Serial # Handy when you call.

Dimplex 3015 purefire remote will not torn fireplace on or off. Tried to reset remote, but no results. I have 2 fireplaces of the same type, and an old and new style remote. Tried with both remotes, but...

Apparently, the receiver on one fireplace is faulty. If this a plug-in wall type receiver, unplug it from the wall, wait 5 minutes and plug it back in. That 5 minutes may have given it time to reset itself. If you see any scorch, burn marks or melted plastic on the receiver box, it will have to be replaced. Contact Dimplex USA, Technical Service Dept at 888-346-7539.

Hope this "remotely" helps to solve your problem.

Where does the FBK200 blower go in the Marco fireplace

As you are aware the Marco Fireplace Co is no longer in business. However, the blower model # you listed is a DESA/Vanguard part number. In any event, it may work.

The blower goes in the lower compartment (probably louvered) under the firebox. It is then attached to the rear wall of the compartment, with the blower output facing up the back wall of the firebox. There should be an arrow on the blower housing indicating which way it should point.

If your firebox is already wired for a blower and has a duplex receptacle in place (for the blower to plug into), you're in business. If it doesn't I highly recommend that you install one and not try to hard wire the blower.

The blower, if purchased new, should come will all the hardware to mount it. If it didn't you can use sheet metal screws to attach it to the rear wall of the firebox. However, make sure that you put a rubber flat washer behind the mounting frame and then screw thru it into the firebox wall. This will help eliminate vibration and noise.

Hope this helps to get you started.

How do we install a burner on a fireplace?

Thinking of adding a fireplace or wood stove to your home? If so, proper installation and maintenance is absolutely critical to ensuring the fire stays inside your freestanding fireplace or wood stove and doesn't venture outside of it.

If your manufactured home already has a fireplace or wood stove, it's a good idea to go look over these safety guidelines to confirm that it was installed correctly. If you plan to install a fireplace or wood stove, follow these safety guidelines carefully.

First, don't try to tackle this project yourself. While installation manuals usually provide all the instructions necessary for a manufactured home owner to install a wood-burning fireplace or wood stove, the consequences of a mistake are so disastrous, it's a task best left to experts.

It's a good idea to first check with your insurance company for their guidelines before installing these items. Your insurance policy may not cover damages if a fireplace or wood stove was not professionally installed. Plus, the manufacturer's warranty on the fireplace or wood stove may not apply unless the unit is installed by a professional.
