Question about Whirlpool LSR6334LQ Top Load Washer
I have a top load Whirlpool washer. At the end of each cycle I bang the washing machine top and it advances to the next cycle. This doesn't happen all the time but for every cycle, but always after the first. It's as if the bang or pushing the top down really hard triggers the next cycle. If I move the knob manually the cycle doesn't advance. Only the bang/pushing on the top does the trick.
This washer has a problem with the lid hinge screws coming loose. check the left hand hinge and you will find the screws loose.
this cause the lid switch to not engage and then nothing will happen until it thinks the lid is closed.
try to tighten the screws and listen to see if the switch "clicks" when you open and close the lid.
that should fix it until the screws come loose again.
