How do I synch i-tunes on a new computer with my old i-pod classic?

Before you connect the iPod, you should install iTunes. The program is free and can be downloaded form the Apple support page. After installing, you better first setup your account. The same name you used to buy the music in the first place. Then connect the iPod to the computer and wait till iTunes starts and shows you the iPod.
Perhaps you have to authorise the PC with the account. You can have up to 5 authorised PC's with one account.

Here you find the software for your computer:

How to down load a song to my appleipod nano 2gb?

To download songs to iPod nano: m Simply connect iPod nano to your computer. If iPod nano is set to update automatically, the download begins. Important: The first time you connect iPod nano to a computer, a message asks if you want to transfer songs automatically. If you accept, all songs, audiobooks, and other items are deleted from iPod nano and replaced with the songs and other items from that computer. If you don’t accept, you can still download songs to iPod nano manually without deleting any of the songs already on iPod nano. While music is being downloaded from your computer to iPod nano, the iTunes status window shows progress, and the iPod nano icon in the Source list flashes red. When the download is complete, a message in iTunes says “iPod update is complete.” If you set iTunes to download music manually, you can reset it later to update iPod nano automatically. For more information, see “Updating iPod nano Manually” on page 22. To reset iTunes to update iPod nano automatically with all songs and playlists: 1 Open iTunes and select iPod nano in the Source list. 2 Click the Options button and click Music. 3 Select “Automatically update all songs and playlists.” The download begins automatically.

Cant transfer from computer to ipod

A. You need to have iTunes installed on your computer. It's a free download from Apple. Load your CD's into iTunes or buy songs from the Apple iTunes Music Store. Connect your iPod and synch.

B. More information needed. Do you have songs on your iPod already? If so check the cable and the USB on your computer, try to connect to a different computer

Will i lose all my synched ipod music if dad reconfigures comp??

If you try to sync with Dad's PC via iTunes you will lose your music. However take a look at XPlay 3 from mediafour.com; that will allow you to recover music from your iPod onto a PC.
If you need to do this on a Mac try Senuti.

I have an ipod nano 4/it is locked out and i cannot remember my

Connect your iPod to the computer that your iPod is registered to (usually the one you have transfered music files from to your iPod). When your iPod is showing in the browser field in iTunes, disconnect your iPod according to proper way (different for PC and Mac).
Your iPod should now be unlocked.
Of course you must have iTunes opened on your computer, by default it opens automatically when you connect your iPod, but you might have altered the setting earlier.

If this does not work, check out this page: http://mtdewvirus.com/archives/2007/06/29/unock-ipod-screen-lock/?cp=6

It should tell you in the instructions that you need to download iTunes for Windows since it sounds like you're not on a Mac. All the controls for transferring music and synching photos etc are in iTunes. When you attach the iPod, you're connecting it to allow the transfer of files as though it was a USB Flash Memory stick, but this allows you to store other files such as Word docs on the iPod -- it does not allow you to transfer music. A big part of the reason for this is the digital rights management that the music labels insist upon.

Music on iPod stops randomly and skips to next song

turn every program but itunes off. your firewall is interrupting your sync. close all programs or turn off your anti-virus and firewall so nothing can interrupt. keep me posted with results.

Not synching correctly with itunes music folder

I know another way you could try formatting which may fix this problem. Restoreing just restores all the setting to your iPod yes it shoudl format as well but it may not due to an error or something.

To do try it another way follow these steps, first click on "Start" - "My Computer" look for you iPod when it's connect usually called "Removable Disk" once you've found it "Right-click" on it then click on "Format", once format is complete disconnect, then connect it again then run "Update" for your iPod and for iTunes, once you've done that have another attempt.

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful in some way. Further problems leave a comment and i will get back to you.
