Re: Can you tell me where USB port is located in HP...
USB ports are located on the back and also on the front on newer desktop PCs. These are on the computer tower - not the monitor as your posting is categorized. They are rectangular slots with four copper contacts inside.

You can download the necessary drivers from thge HP website. Just click on the Support & Downloads link, enter your computer model, select your OS from the next page and it will give you a list of all of the applicable downloads for your system.
There are several ways you can do this. There are password reset tools that you can boot to a cd from which can wipe out a password, Also if you have the restore disks for the computer you can do a destructive restore which would wipe everything off the computer and set it back to day one. Another option is to boot the machine into safe mode and if the administrator account is not password protected then you can go into control panel and under the user accounts option you can remove the password from an account.
What has happened is the automatic screen size & resolution detection circuitry is going/gone faulty. You usually hear this sound ONLY when ya change screen resolutions, ie: when say ya change from 800x600 to 1024x768 or the like.
With 2nd monitors so inexpensive these days repair is often NOT warranted.. so perhaps it is time to upgrade to another. However if ya choose to have it repaired obtain a "Quote" and an explanation B4 ya proceed.
