USB ports are located on the back and also on the front on newer desktop PCs. These are on the computer tower - not the monitor as your posting is categorized. They are rectangular slots with four copper contacts inside.

Hello,

It shows that the switch of your monitor is malfunctioning, it is having partial contact, that is why it works atimes.

Keeps turning off

Make sure the VGA cable is plugged in all the way and screwed down. These units were made in 2002 so it may just be too old to go on. A repair would probably cost more than a new or used flat screen LCD.

Pavilion MX75 monitor clicking.

What has happened is the automatic screen size & resolution detection circuitry is going/gone faulty. You usually hear this sound ONLY when ya change screen resolutions, ie: when say ya change from 800x600 to 1024x768 or the like. With 2nd monitors so inexpensive these days repair is often NOT warranted.. so perhaps it is time to upgrade to another. However if ya choose to have it repaired obtain a "Quote" and an explanation B4 ya proceed.
