CLP-600N Printer error : SMP fan Error

Printer stoped printing and giving left fan error. I don't have a service center where I am. I will have to change it myself. I need to know what I need to replace and price.

Thanks in advance.

I've had the same problem. I have had this printer replaced 3 times now. Everytime I call the service center for the printer, they say that it is an internal error and that they will be sending me a refurbished printer. As long as it is under warranty, they can't charge you anything. The only problem is, everytime they send me another printer to replace the error, the same error comes up again! Must be an ongoing problem that no one can fix :(

This error can arise when the door on the right-hand side of the printer, the part you open in order to replace the toner cartridges, is not correctly closed. Close the top right-hand section first and then close the door on the right-hand side firmly (slamming it if necessary) and then check that all edges look correctly aligned. That should solve the problem. Incorrect shutting of these parts has always been the cause of this error on our Samsung CLP-600N laser printers and we have several of them.

The SMPS Fan Error is caused by slow or no rotation of the SMPS Fan. The firmware solution from Samsung disables monitoring so if the fan stops the printer will keep working. Thankfully, it's not physically hard to fix this issue though and can be done by removing 9 screws and using a little oil.

I've actually posted a step by step guide to fix this here.

"Low Heat Error"

Thats probably the best way to solve the solution. Sometimes if there is a thermistor that is causing the problem that can be serviceable in the fuser unit, that can be replaced instead of purchasing a whole new fuser assembly. It's less expensive replacing the thermistor.

If the printer runs its adjustment cycle and stops just before printing, it is most likely a problem with a driver. Call Samsung's 800 number. You will need to speak to a Level 2 technician who will send you an e-mail with a zip drive and instructions. One tip: You may have to install it several times before it works. I hope this helps you.
