Do you have a cable that plugs into your camera and usb plug on the other end?....if not...you will need one. when you plug the cord in properly....make sure your camera is on and set to the 'show images' mode....not the 'take picture'' mode..(the slide switch just above the menu button...must be down..)
It should show up on your computer in 'my computer' if you have the software installed.

What if I don't have the USB cord for the camera??

If the cord fits, use it.
You didn't specify the make and model of your camera, but if it uses a memory card of some type you don't need a USB cord to transfer your pictures.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

How do I download pictures from a AT&T Z221 to my PC using a USB cord?

Plug the USB cord from the camera into the USB port on your computer. The computer should see the camera as an external storage device. You can then click on the storage device and open the folder and copy the photos to your computer.
ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos and to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

I can't get my camera to upload to my computer. I would put the disk in and download programme again but I don't have a disk drive on my dell computer.

Hi
You did not specify whether your PC OS or camera model ,normally PC recognizes the new connections especially on Windows7 .Anyway,You can download the original camera driver from its own web page..If you were given these info ,I could have helped you..sorry
Additionally ,the easiest way of downloading your picture is thru a USB CARD Reader unless your PC do not have card reader ,.
And take off the memory card of the camera and by using USB or built-in reader you can download all pictures..
Hope this helps! Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up for me to continue for Helping out the Community :)
Thanks

Instead of using the cord to upload pictures from camera to computer, is there a device similar to a flash drive that I can use to upload pictures to the computer from my Fuji FinePix J10 Digital Camera?

Hi,

You can download pictures from your camera to your computer by using a memory card reader (You can use your computer's built-in memory card reader, if it has one, or you can purchase an external memory card reader as shown in the attached image).
6b262ef.jpg
To do this, kindly remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into a card reader. Connect the card reader to the USB port of your PC (if you are using an external card reader).
Now, the memory card will be shown as a "Removable disk" in "My Computer". You can browse the images and copy the images to your computer.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.

I am trying to upload my pictures from my fugifilm digital camera to my acer laptop running windows 7 and it wont upload, it says i can preveiw them on file but i cant get them to...

Consider NOT using the USB cord. Your computer has a USB port so it can use a card reader.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader connected via USB.

Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Press up/down to highlight Internal Memory then press the OK button. (You'll need to set this to Auto later if you want pictures to go to a memory card instead of the internal memory.) Press the Review button, then the Menu button. Press up/down to select Copy>> then press the OK button. Press up/down to highlight what you want then press OK.

Cant upload the pitures from sd card with out usb cord

Yes you cannot transfer pictures without the USB cable since that is working like the 'bridge' for your camera and computer communication.

However, there is still another way on how you can get the pictures. That is to use a memory card reader. Most laptops now has that particular slot. Or you can buy a cheap memory card on the nearest PC store.
