Can't change ringtone

Changed personal (ring of my phone) ringtone and can't change it back. Followed directions in book but doesn't work. Technician was here when I did it and I don't remember doing it the way it is in the book

That didn't work. What I found out was that the annoying ring was coming from line 1. To correct the problem you do the same thing but instead of pushing intercom twice you press line 1 twice then enter to save it. It was a long and winding road to get this problem solved but I am now very happy. :>)

This one is sort of easy, but I can't find it in the manual. It's somewhere, but here's the deal. Each line or the intercom can have 30 different rings. It's programmed by PROG press the button twice, and dial a 2-digt number from 01-30 or use the navigator up/down button to change it, and ENTER to save it.

If you happen to have 72/74xx phones on a TDA, you only have 8 tones.

Please reconsider the rating. I gave you the correct answer. EACH LINE OR INTERCOM CAN HAVE 30 DIFFERENT RINGS.

    I would rate that a FixYa :-)

How can i change the "ringtone's message" of my corby GT-s3650

Here's how you can change the ringtone/ message tone:
  1. Go to Menu
  2. Settings
  3. Phone profiles
  4. Edit Profile Name (this will be dependent on the profile that you'll use)
  5. Go to the right "New Messages"
If you want them to be personalized per contact, you will need to access the phone book, go to the specific contact then personalize the message tone or ringing tone

I was given a phone and would like to change the ring. ??

You need to go to the 'Profiles' option. It will be inside the 'menu' option. select 'profile', then select 'personalize'. You will find an option of ringtone there. Select that, and choose ringtone from your gallary. Once you are done with that, save the changes. Then again go to the 'profiles' option again and select 'activate'. Your phone will play the new ringtone.

I'm trying to set a unique ringtone/sound for individual callers. Even though I select Brass Call for my husbands number it still plays the Settings/Ring Style/Loud Detail/Line 1 sound (Yummy). How do I...

I had the same problem, then decided to see whether it would make a difference if I deleted that person's manual entry and instead stored the number and name, etc, from the recent received call lists. I set my parameters as I wanted, including the ringtone I wanted, and voila ! It works now ! So, store them from the logged call when the person has called you and it should work !

When i set a ringtone for a particular contact it will ring as the ringtone i set for the whole phone why is it

It shouldn't use your custom rigntone as the default - which is what it sounds like is happening.

How are you setting the custom ringtone - is it from options in the address book or profiles?

Check the ringtone set in profiles and random custom ringtones in address book/ "Contact A" options. Check at least one that you have changed and another that you haven't to see the difference in your settings.

Ringtones for caller id

To assign ringtones, you need to make sure the entries are stored to the phone, and not to the SIM card. To check where it's stored, go to the phone book, select the name of the person you want to personalize (ring tone, picture, etc), and click edit. In the Entry Details screen, the Store to: option probably says SIM. Change it to Store to: Phone. After you do that, there should be alot more info you can put in for the person. Near the bottom is "Ringer ID" and "Picture" which you can then customize for the person.

Hope that helps!
