Cartridge Technics SL-BD22 i have an opportnity to buy the above turntable without a cartridge.  Can these still be prchased? do I need to purchase a needle seperately? and approximately what could be the potential costs. Thank you Michael Feldman

The SL-BD22 turntable's tonearm does not have a headshell. It takes a P-mount (otherwise known as a T4P) cartridge which plugs directly into the end of the arm.

Just purchased a belt for my SL-BD22 from Vintage Audo (Audio?). The belt size is 23.6 X .180 X .025 inches. Their part number for this belt is:B00926DJ74. Hope this helps.

just get any small speaker wire and use that as your ground , attach that to the reciever you are using

Yes you need a pre amp

It would also be the same if you connected it to a computer to record an LP to CD. Mine is a little different and has one already built in that I can switch in and out of line.

Try spend a little more if you can as many pre amps can introduce noise.

You may also want to check that the turntable is properly grounded to prevent noise too
