Lover oven door did not unlock after cleaning cycle.

The cleaning cycle ended about 4 hours ago.  Oven is cool but will not unlock.  How do I unlock the oven?

Lost Manual and would like instruction on how to set for self clean cycle?

Make sure you have everything out of the oven, including the oven racks.

1. Press SELF CLEAN.
2. Press the TEMP/TIME "+" or "-" arrow pads to enter the desired self-clean cycle.
3. Press START.
The oven door will automatically lock. The DOOR LOCKED and CLEAN indicator lights will be
displayed.
4. When the self-clean cycle is complete and the oven cools, the DOOR LOCKED and CLEAN
indicator lights will turn off.
5. When the oven is completely cooled, remove ash with a damp cloth.

Recommended times are 2 hours 30 minutes for light soil and 4 hours 30 minutes for heavy soil.

If your oven has a HI and LO self clean time, HI is 4 hours 30 minutes and LO is 3 hours 30 minutes.

It is also recommended that you remove anything plastic from the top of the stove during cleaning.

Oven door locked and will not unlock

hi friend,
step 1
Look for a manual lever to unlock the oven. If there is one, it will probably swing back and forth horizontally, just below the upper edge of the oven door.
  • Step 2 Swing the locking lever, if one is present, all the way to the left. This should unlock the oven. If there is no manual lever to unlock the oven, it may be unlocked using push-button controls.
  • Step 3 Check to see if the oven is in a self-cleaning cycle, or has just completed a self-cleaning cycle. If so, the door will unlock automatically once the oven has finished the cleaning cycle and cooled completely, which may take several hours. You cannot unlock the oven before it has cooled.
  • Step 4 Unlock the "Clean/Off" button. Depending on the brand and model of your oven, the button may display both of these designations or just one. If your oven door is locked, but the oven is not warm and is not in a cleaning cycle, unlock it by pressing and holding the "Clean/Off" button.
  • jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); }); Who Can Help Sponsored hope this helps u

Oven door is locked and will not clear. I have tried to reset. Turned the breaker off, The only button that works is the timer. I am not cleaning the oven it was locked by accidentially leaning against the...

Hello JJ, Try pressing the "Clear/OFF" button to stop the self cleaning cycle. It will take up to an hour before the oven will unlock the door, if the oven has started to heat up for the cleaning process

You may have started the default 3 hour self-clean cycle, so you can attempt to reduce the time to 2 hours, by pushing the timer down so it displays "2" which would indicate the shorter cleaning cycle. Then at the end of the timed cleaning cycle, it should open up, once the temperature has cooled sufficiently for it to be safe to open, again, which takes up to an hour to sufficiently cool.

Typically, when an oven is accidently put into self clean mode, the timer "kicks in" and the timer has to run out before the oven will unlock. With the older mechanical knob timers, you could just rotater the timer until you reached the end of the pre-set time. With the electronic timers, you have to let the timer "count down" until it reaches zero before the oven will unlock the oven door.

Oven has been cleaning for hours and won't turn off

You will find that the cleaning cycle takes more than 3 hours. Leave it for at least twice that long before you get concerned. When the cleaning is done and the oven is cool it will unlock

I need direction on how to start the clean cycle on my jenn air

    CLEAN PAD
Use to set a self-clean cycle or a delayed
self-clean cycle. One press of the Clean
pad sets up an immediate clean cycle. A
second press of the Clean pad sets up a
    delayed clean cycle.
    • Clean oven
    frame, door
    frame (area
    outside of gasket)
    and
    around the
opening in the door gasket with a nonabrasive
cleaner such as Bon Ami*. These
areas are not exposed to cleaning temperatures.
    • Remove air grille.
    • Remove oven racks. If racks are left in
during a clean cycle, it may impair function
and they will discolor. Turn off the
    oven light and close door.
    * Brand names for cleaning products are
    registered trademarks of the respective
    manufacturers.
    TO SET FOR IMMEDIATE START:
    1. Press Clean pad once.
    2. Press the Auto Set pad for 3 hours of
cleaning time, press again for 4 hours
and again if 2 hours of clean time are
    desired.
    3. CLEANING and LOC plus the clean
time will appear in the display.
    4. When the clean cycle is complete,
CLEANED will be displayed. LOC will
remain on until the oven has cooled
    (approx. 1 hour).
    5. When the oven is cool, LOC will no
longer be displayed and the door may be
    opened.
    6. Wipe out the oven interior with a damp
cloth. If soil remains it indicates the
    cycle was not long enough.

    TO CANCEL SELF-CLEAN:
    1. Press Cancel pad.
    2. If LOC is NOT displayed, open oven
door. If LOC is displayed, allow oven to
    cool.
