Question about Jenn-Air JED8230 Electric Cooktop
The griddle has burnt on stuff all over it and needs to be cleaned but I'm afraid i will take the coating off. Any ideas on how to clean this off?
Slide an old towel underneath the griddle to protect any painted surfaces.
Then carefully spray easy off onto the surfaces, or, soak another towel in easy off or other cleaner, and lay on the soiled surfaces, pressing down to assure good contact. Lay another towel on top, and allow to lay there for awhile.
I really dont' think you've got anything to worry about. Most cooktops are today are powder coated, rather than laqeur painted. Powder coat is a hard, baked on surface. It won't solvent melt like finsihes of old.
