I have done that...it says it is ready and it will not print. The manual says that the DHCP has to be turned off, I turned it off on my copier, how do I turn it off on my computer?

The best thing that you can do is to report it to the branch located nerest to you, or report it to philcopy corporation. one of the distributor of the latter machine.

Try ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (printer IP address. if you get a answer back (no timeout). then you have a good connection.
go to start>>printer and faxes>> add a printer.
select network pirnter, and let the operating system find the printer.
if it find it, then install the driver on the PC try a test page.
if not, then you have to install the printer as local.
select to creat a new port, with standard TCP/IP port. insert the printer IP address.
install the pirnter driver and try a test page.

I have a Kyocera CS 1820 copier, scanner, fax machine and I can't figure out how to geet it to scan to pc. I have installed the drivers from the kyocera site and still no luck......

Make sure that you downloaded the correct drivers....Etc... (x64) vs (x86) also make sure you have the proper script # driver ... Etc... #5.1 vs #6. You will want to completely uninstall all the old drivers, shut down your computer --- do not just reboot, reinstall all the new drivers, and after your computer is done rebooting – shut it down and restart. Also make sure that you and the designated file set up on the computer, it needs to know where to scan the document and send it to.

KM-1820 scanner setup

The KM-1820 to scan to PC is using SMB, FTP or e-mail.

for SMB:
I am assuming you have the KM-1820 connected within the network and a static IP address for it.
open any Internet browser and go to KM-1820's IP address.
You should see the Command Centre web page.
Go to Basic page and add/register a contact within the Address Book.
Give a name and at the SMB section field, fill up with your computer hostname or the ip address of your computer where you want to scan. Fill up the user name with the local user name - the one what you are using to get into your computer - or create a new LOCAL user for your PC lets say "kyocera". So for SMB will be your computer and username: kyocera. (You will need a password for that computer user (kyocera) ). Then create a folder "scan" where you want ot receive the scanned files and add "scan" at the path field (SMB section of that webpage - command center).
Now share the folder "scan" as "scan".

if you want you can always use the scan to e-mail !! but you need a smtp server. All the settings can be done using that command center webpage.

Can't install

If you can ping its IP, you have that part correct.
What you may be having is a firewall issue.
If your firewall protection is not allowing an exception for that IP address, you can ping the machine, yet the data being sent will be blocked.
I have seen this several times in setting up printers, you have to go into your firewall and set up an exception for the IP address on your firewall.
I suspect that is the issue. Not uncommon.
