Question about Samsung BN59-00599A Remote Control

2 Answers

I have a brand new (3 days old) remote control bn59-00696a for a Samsung LN46A750 TV. It has worked fine until today. I went to turn on TV and no response. I tried to light up remote control with its light on button. Nothing lit up on key pad. I changed batteries and still nothing. What can it be?

You may need to recode the remote since you changed batteries, and the newly installed batteries are new, and installed correctly.

Had my samsung dlp tv repaired today. tvs fine now but the remote does not work(still works on dvd player) direct tv remote does power on tv either or control volume anymore

It sounds that the remote control should be programmed once again with TV with its setup codes. Setup codes for Samsung TV are:

0105 0077 0076 0109 0007 0009 0004 0005 0085 0172 0942 0358 0012 0015 0080 0104 0106
Check these codes, and select one which have maximum functionality with your TV.

Ah59-02342a doesn't control tv anymore

Hi I had exactly the same problem with mine it worked the DVD player fine but not the TV even though previously it had worked both .......... Manual Guide In the manual guide I managed to dig out it says to do the following to set up the remote to work the TV

Press the TV button on the remote
Then whilst holding down the power button you need to enter in the samsung TV codes until your TV turns off (I only got to the first and it did it)
The numbers are 00, 15, 16, 17, 40, 43, 46, 47, 48, 49, 59, 60, 98

Hope this helps

Hi, i bought dish universal remote . all buttons working but volume buttons not so please help me. my old remote was 1.5ir and new has 3.2 ir universal

Hello, it sounds like all that you need to do is program your remote to the tv. Because I do not know the brand of your tv, I'll give you the power scan instructions. The power scan scans the tv for the correct remote code.

1. Hold down the Clear TV button until all lights at the top of the remote light up
2. Press the red TV POWER button
3. Press and release the up arrow on the remote about once a second until the tv turns off.
4. When it turns off, press the # (Pound) button
5. Try powering the tv on/off, and try the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over at step 1 again.

Hope this helps!!

We have an AK59-00104R remote for our Blu-Ray player and a Samsung TV. The remote has been working fine on both for over a month now and yesterday it stopped working for the TV. I'm thinking my 1 year old...

To program this Samsung remote to work with a TV, press the TV POWER button on the remote while entering a manufacturer specific code into the remote at the same time.
1. Switch the TV on. 2. Point the remote towards the TV. 3. Press and hold the TV Power button and enter the two-digit code for that brand of TV. If the code is compatible, the TV will switch off. 4. There may be more than one code for that manufacturer, so try them all until one works.
For Samsung TVs, one of the following codes should work: +01 +02 +03 +04 +05 +06 +07 +08 +09

What is the code for SAMSUNG tv......or how can I manually get the code

Hi! try these steps.. I hope it helps..

1. Turn on the TV.
2. On the remote control, press and hold SET
until the LED blinks twice, then release SET.
NOTE: The remote control will exit programming if
more than 10 seconds elapse between key presses.
3. Enter the first four-digit code for your TV. If
you perform this procedure correctly, the LED
will blink twice.
NOTE: If the LED emits a long blink, the code is
invalid. Repeat steps 2 through 3 and try entering the
same code again.
4. Aim the remote control at your TV and press
POWER once. The TV should turn off. If it does
not respond, repeat steps 2-3, trying each code
for your brand until you find one that works.

The code for samsung tv are:

Samsung 0060, 0030, 0178, 0019, 0056

How do i get it connected to the tv? and how do u use codes i dont know how to use the codes

To get your Innovage Jumbo Remote Control connected to your TV you need to program it with control codes specific to the brand of your TV. If you know the brand of TV you have you can look up the control codes for that brand in a chart. If you don't know the brand, or if the codes in the chart do not work on your TV, you can perform the auto-search function of your remote to find the codes that work.

To search for the control codes that will work on your TV, follow these steps:

  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold down the CODE SEARCH button for 3 seconds until the red LED lights up solid red.
  3. Press the TV button on the remote. The LED will blink once and then remain solid red.
  4. Press the ON/OFF button on the remote slowly and repeatedly until the TV turns off. The LED will blink once each time you press ON/OFF.
  5. Once the TV turns off, press the ENTER button to store the code. The LED light will turn off, and your remote is programmed for your new TV.
Hope that helps.

I have several oneforall brand remote contrtols --no manuals

Your older All in One remotes will probably work fine. I have noticed that many All in One models use the same buttons, "SET codes", and steps to program them. Newer models may have newer control codes for newer electronics, but I would go ahead and try your older ones.

Since you have lost your manuals, I recommend using the code search function. These are the code search steps for a URC-3021, which work on several other All-for-One models.

To search for a code for your TV:
  1. On the remote control, press TV once.
  2. Press and hold SET until the LED blinks twice, then release SET.
  3. Enter 9 - 9 - 1.The LED will blink twice.
  4. Aim the remote control at the the TV and slowly alternate between pressing POWER and TV. Stop when the TV turns off.
  5. To lock in the code, press and hold SET until the LED blinks twice, then release SET.
Hope that helps.
