Sorry I did do what you asked. Did you know that the cmos battery in this model is soldered to the motherboard? have you heard of the (eeprom) chip that holds the bios password?

My toshiba laptop is asking for a password it will not boot without it as soon as you turn it on it wants a password

BIOS is set to password on....
did anyone make changes to ur laptop....
if so then only he can unlock BIOS passwords cannot be unlocked....they are embeded in the BIOS microchip...
only a BIOS update can undo it...and that's very RISKY...

I need the bios reset password for a toshiba laptop

there is no actual password. you need to remove the ram and short out two pins underneath the black plastic they look ike two E's connected like E3. use a flat blade screwe driver. do this while powered off!

BIOS password won't turn off

You wanted one you got one. Only way to clear is to reset the BIOS by removing power, laptop battery and BIOS battery on MoBo. That involves taking laptop apart.

Toshiba a215-s7437 bios password what is it?

from release it doesn't have a bios password, the shop who slod the laptop to you must have put the password in, or maybe someone you know put it in. the only way you are going to get around this is to ether give the password from who put it in or take it to a IT shop and have them remove the bios battary overnight and then put it in again. that will remove all password settings and change all bios settings back to default settings

Toshiba Satellite A215-S7437 Laptop Password Problem?

You should first check if the pasword is set on the hard drive. If so you can simply change the hard drive and it will then boot and ask for the operating system disk. If not, you should try by removing the cmos battery and waiting at least 10 minutes. (this works on older laptops) however, the laptop's power suply cable and battery should be removed prior to performing this procedure.

Taking out the battery does not work anymore. The bios password is now held in an electric erasable read only memory chip AKA (EEPROM). Its a little labor intensive process to erase this chip and I am not going to go into it here. But if you rate this fixya and post an E-mail address where I can send you contact info I will send you the info you are seeking and teach you.
