Question about Toshiba Satellite L10 Notebook
CAN YOU TELL ME IF I BUY A MEMORY STICK FOR A NOTEBOOK. I WOULD ASSUME I WOULD. HOW DO I INSTALL ANOTHER 512 MB STICK. MAY HAVE TO HAVE A SERVICE TEC DO IT. WANT TO TAKE IT TO 1GB OF MEMORY.. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Most newer laptops have easy access to their memory slots, I'd recommend you got to the manufacturer's website and look for the maximum memory your system will allow. If you look at the bottom side of your laptop, you may see several small covers with just one or two screws in them. One of them will be where the memory slots are. It is not uncommon for the laptop to have a very small 'memory chip' icon on the cover. Be aware that many laptops only support two memory chips, and may have both filled already. For example, if laptop has 512MB memory, it may have two x 256MB chips in it. Which would mean, that to upgrade to 1GB memory, you would have to purchase two x 512MB chips. or one 1GB chip.
