Lan card is not detected in dell gx240

Hi, I have the same model dell.
Here is a link for the driver for your pc.

Just select networks, and you'll see one that says 3com driver.
This is the file that is needed to make the lan card work.

I had to reinstall most of the drivers on mine, as it was an old school computer that had SEVERAL viruses, and by the time I had gotten rid of al of them, about 2/3 of my operating system was gone. I had to use another computer to download a copy of xp home w/sp 3 just so i could power the darn thing back up.
Then I had to manually reinstall every driver on the computer, as well as update the bios, replace a hard drive, upgrade the ram, because they had left it with only 32 mb of ram, not even enough to boot up with.

Now I have 512mb ram, 2 hard drives, a dvd rom drive, and advd lightscribe burner.
I also opted to replace the factory ati video card with dvi output, mainly because i didn't have an adapter to work with regular vga monitors. So i put an old nvidia fx5200 pci video card in.
Now it runs like a champ!

I hope the link I provide works for you., Good luck, and have a good day.

My Ethernet went bad so I took out the old card and installed a Zonet 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet Adapter. I now have a bouncing ball showing that the network is trying to "acquire network address"...

You need to intall the driver of that card first an the intall the card. If not go to My Computer right click on Properties and Divice maneger, network adapter, find the card, right click and update driver. Leaves the disk on the drive.

Looks your system is infected. You may need to update your antivirus and keep updating windows xp security patches

To fix the driver repair problem, you can try downloading and executing the patch from the link below. This should resolve the problem

Ethernet Connection not working

If you have installed the hard drive, in any instance it has no conflict with your ethernet card, i suggest you should reinstall the drivers that come up with your Ethernet Card. Try to download Driver Magician on your computer and scan your computer for updates on your drivers.

I need the ethernet drivers for K8t800-8237 pheonix technolgies ltd. bios cpu amd sempron 3100+ I had reformatted my computer there are no usb drivers or ethernet drivers I need to install ethernet so i...

if you are running windows xp or newer you already have the drivers.. in control panel go to system and then device manager to see if there any conflicts.. exclamation highlited in yellow next to any mini icons in the column. right click on all of them in sequence and either click enable or update drivers.. also from what i see here you have a biostar motherboard. you might have to use a different pc to go online to download the chipset drivers onto a flash drive to transfer to your pc. in the browser type in biostar motherboard drivers and search for your mobo. model and down load the drivers.it is fairly simple to get used to. or if you still have the mobo driver disc. that might have come with your pc then use it for installing the chipset drivers first then lan, and usb drivers....good luck..

My hard drive went out and after replacing it I can not get my ethernet on the demension 2400 to work nor can I get my video card to resize.

that is because the driver for both the video card and the network card is missing. (right click on my computer, go to hardware, then device manager) everything under other devices, are missing drivers. find the driver CD and install it one by one. (check also with your recovery CDs, usually , it is CD number2). note when the video card driver is missing, windows defaults the the standard VGA driver , so you can see at least something, and u are not totally blind looking at black screen. that is why you could not change the resolution.

Do not have the disc anymore please help me to find the driver I need. I have 1000HW 2Wire modem. It seems that until I make this change, I cannot properly sync my Palm Pilot. Could that be true?

Network adapter install drivers

These drivers are readily available at www.linksys.com Just look under Downloads, enter your model number and get the driver. You will probably need to burn it to a CD or Flash drive to install it on your computer.
