Washing machine leaks after pipes froze in room

Pipes & rad froze in laundry room during -30 power failure. They have been fixed, replaced but now when I tried to use the washer, it starts to leak immediately. I didn't think anything could freeze in washer since it was empty. What part is it likely & is it an expensive fix?

The problem is most likely the water pump and supply hoses.
If your system froze up where the washer was located then it is possible that the pump or supply lines also froze because they always have water in them.
The repair price will vary with whoever you call to fix it.

Yes , I think the valves also must have jammed in the process and when the hot water filled up in due course it must have released.
It is best to switch off water supply to the machine in such times.

Washer fills with hot water even when unplugged

The freezing messed up the fill valve. This is the part that your hoses connect to on the back of the washer. Replace it and you will be fine.

Foul odor when I start a load of laundry

Obviously this problem exists on this manufactured machine (Cabrio). It has to do with the design of the machine and the HE detergent required to be used. We are on city water and the smell is sewage gas. Hence, do your whites last with lots of Clorox/bleach, cause the detergent isn't strong enoug to kill the bacteria growing in the pipes. That being said, P

1) laundry smells bad after wash & 2) leaking conditioner

Check that your overflow pipe is higher than the pipe it goes into. As sometimes waste water, as it drains from the sink after washing up etc, will leak into your machine, and stagnate.
Best of luck.
