Hp Pavillion F1703 17 LCD monitor

I know this sounds a bit dumb, but what cable do you guys have to connect the monitor? I have the VGA cable but there is a port next to the port for the speakers. IS that for the monitor power cable?
I dont really know much about it because it was just given/dumped on me by a family member.

Thanks guys.

The VGA cable should be the standard 15 pin connector. But if you are referring to the power cable it is a small round plug similar to that of a laptop. You should have recieved a power cord with a transformer suited to the same voltage and amperage as the monitor.

Yes, the connector next to the speaker connector is for the power adapter. It's different from the speaker plug so you can't put it in the wrong place. Hopefully you got the right power adapter with the monitor.

Here's the page at HP's site where you can download the User's Guide for this monitor. Hope this helps.
