I purchased a Ricoh Aficio 1035 at auction from a company who went bankrupt. The unit was obviously hooked to an internal network and has a Equitrac Counter system attached. I want to use this as a basic stand alone copier/scanner. Is there a way to remove the counter and reset to a factory default, or, change the network setup to allow stand alone usage? When powered on, it flashes in the upper left corner "Cannot Connect w/ Network" "Check settings of IP address"
Then in a large error bubble on the screen it says "Set Key Counter"
I would love to be able to use this machine - any ideas?

- I do not have a network...the company where I bought it from had it connected to a network, but they are out of business. I want to use this as a stand alone machine, although, if I have to, I could connect it to our computer network or a single machine. Is there a way to disconnect the Equitrac Counter (that requires a login as well) and reset it to a non-network unit?Jan 29, 2009
- When I select interface and change the IP Address, all numbers will change to 0 except the last - the IP ends up as 000.000.000.004 - and still does not work. By the way, I appreciate your time in helping me with this.Jan 30, 2009

- I disconnected the Equitrac Counter from the machine by unplugging the cable from the circuit board. After doing that, the error code SC542 shows up.Jan 30, 2009
