Question about Creative Labs Zen Neeon MP3 Player
My Creative Zen Neeon was dropped the other day, and when I turned it on it showed the creative logo but then froze. I have tried resetting it to no avail, and my computer doesn't detect it. Please help before I throw it out the window.
You guys do know that there is a little hole for you to sick a pin into on the side of your zen neeon - this will 'hard' reset it like pushing the reset button on your pc; if discharging the battery fixed your problem then this will too

If its frozen while playing music then just wait for the battery to run out. Unfortunately for me it happens when I have just recently recharged the battery :(

Leave it alone for a while, then try reinstalling the Zen Program, then plug it in, then rest it, then try to switch it on. It worked for me

Fucken creative zen neeon 1gb ..the worst mp3 player i have ever seen!!seriously...i bought a one since a year and half and suddenly i found it dead..no turn on..i charged it and i tried to reset it but nothing new..even cannt be detected on computer or no this fucken creative logo at all !! i have never dropped it at all these year and a half ..and alwayes inside its pocket and it was a 120$ when i bought it ...so from a month i sent it to the agent and it sent the feedback that the mp3 cann't be fixed !!!!!!! but i have a small comment that when it was dead at 1st time when i connect it to the computer i find its back getting hot so it shows that the battery may be good or still workin but still dead..and now when i connect it no hotness can be felt and already still dead..!! i dunno why anyway all i can say that this creative one is fucken mp3 and i wont ever buy any creative products again .....

SOURCE: FROZEN DEAD!!
Same thing happened here wombaticus.Because my warranty period was over and i had all my music on it and no backup (I know im an idiot),I took matters into my own hands and opened it up and pulled out the hard drive pulled of the sticker(the silver one under the black rubber cushion thingy)poked a little screwdriver in one of the holes (carefully) on it,looking for the little arm inside that moves (i think it was stuck, dunno. Anyway a few resets later and my comp recognized it and i was able to retreive my music (backed up straight away :) ).I don't know if it will work properly now,it seems to but i don't care as all i wanted was my data back,so im happy.
