    Hi,
install and start the application, and select a drive which you would like to be used with a library. Your IDj2 will be happy with it...
If you have party music on a USB stick or an external drive F:\ and would like to use this music with the IDj2, choose F:\
For your Ipod you 'll have to do the same. Look it up in explorer, and you'll find your Ipod represented by a drive letter. You can then pick this letter for creating a library on your Ipod.

You can select several options. If you move the mouse pointer over the options, some helptext will be shown and give an explanation what most options do. Depending on the selection you can create tracks with profiles, which gives a visual representation of the total track. this is easy for cue-ing, e.g. where to put your mixing start of your chosen music. One thing, if you chose this option, It will take hours to create a library. I have some 30.000 tracks on a harddrive, and if you choose creating profiles in libarian for this amount of tracks, be prepared that it can take a day or so.

Interupting the creation could leave your library in an unusable state and then you have to rerun the process al over again. Just start the easy way... I mostly choose "normal" and thats fine for most of us. If you do so, it will drastically improve loading times of your tracks on the IDj2.

Manuals can also be downloaded from the Numark Website, and there some more explanations to be found about using Librarian....
If you have more technical questions about your IDj2, you can also send Numark technical support an e-mail. There really quick with their responses.

    Regards,
    Jack.

How to download music to i pod?

So how do I download music to my Ipod?

Downloading music from your hard-drive to you Ipod is done with the program called Itunes. This program comes with your Ipod purchase or can be downloaded at http://www.apple.com. The software is vital because it not only allows you to purchase from the popular Itunes music service, it's also the only way you can transfer songs onto your Ipod.

So let's look into the Itunes software, and more specifically, the Itunes library that is used to transfer songs from your hard-drive to your Ipod. You'll find it on the left hand panel of the program. Your library contains all your songs, movies, and podcast that you want to transfer over. Through the Itunes library, you'll be able to use their drag-and-drop feature for easy and fast transfer to your Ipod.

Before we move one to the next step, it should be made clear that songs that are downloaded from P2P clients might not show up on the Itunes library. You must add them manually, because you will not be able to transfer any songs until they are integrated into your Itunes library. Doing this is simple. Click on file>add file to library, locate the file you want to add, and press enter to complete the process. There is also the 'add folder to library' function which allows you to transfer a whole folder of songs into the Itunes library. This is quite handy to have if most of your songs are stored in one place on your hard drive.

Alright, let's get back on track here. You know the proper steps in which to keep your Itunes library updated now, and the last step is a breeze. Plug in your Ipod to the USB port in your computer, and you'll notice the new option to add songs from your Itunes library to the Ipod. Click and drag your files into the Ipod transfer screen and then you're done! You're now ready to explore the wonderful world of music without the burden of a large cumbersome computer to haul alongside you!

Songs from another computer

No. The nano can only sync with one computer at a time. You can transfer songs by putting them on a usb flash drive and importing them into your library.

Putting on Computer what I have on Memory stick. I have saved songs from a Tyros 3 Keyboard and have difficulty putting it on Computer so that I can burn it on a CD...H E L P

Make sure you are in the song mode so you transfer just the song and not all the other stuff. Copy a song in the song mode to your USB stick, then read it on the PC. To burn it as DATA (MIDI data is data) you must use a burning program like Nero...

If you are trying to make an audio CD that is a different story as you need to convert the MIDI file to an audio format such as MP3 or WAV before burning and AUDIO CD.

You may be able to remove the hard drive manually and try another USB adapter to access it on your computer.

Might be pootched though.

Rule of thumb is to never save your files to only 1 source. Its not a question of if a hard drive is going to fail but WHEN.

Song files donn't STAY in iTunes

The songs are located on your Simpletech drive. You have to move them to your music folder and then specify where the library is in iTunes. If you do have music in your music folder, then on XP, after you have iTunes open, go to Edit -> Preferences. Click on Advanced, and then change the library location.
