Try the Wii "RESET". Here's how: 1. Unplug the Wii for at least 5 minutes. 2. Plug it back in.

Wii won't turn on.

Reset the AC adapter by following steps below.

1. Unplug the Wii AC adapter at both ends (from the back of the
Wii system and from the wall outlet or power strip).

2. After you've waited a full 2 minutes, plug the AC adapter back in on both ends and check to see if the power light comes on.

Wii went dead after power surge

Please visit the site HERE it.You will find a solution to your problem.

I would also suggest holding the power button on the Wii Remote itself to turn it on, or unplug your Wii Console's power cable and audio/video cable for 90 seconds. Then plug power in first, then AV cable.

After unplugging the cords from the back of the wii to get them out of the way, and then immediately plugging them back in last Thursday, today is the first day I have turned on the wii since then and I...

If you can, borrow an AV cable from a friend, yours may be bad. If not then you may want to send it in for repair. A good place is They are really fast with repairs and save the memory on the wii.

When i try to turn my Wii on it will not come on there are no lights or anything how do i fix this problem

This happens if you have had a power outage. Here's what you should do:

  1. Unplug the Wii AC adapter at both ends (from the back of the Wii system and from the wall outlet or power strip).
  2. The AC adapter must remain unplugged at both ends for a full 2 minutes.
  3. Unplug anything connected to the USB ports (such as LAN Adapters, keyboards, Nintendo GameCube controllers, etc.).
  4. After you've waited 2 minutes, plug the AC adapter into the Wii system and directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector or power strip. If the power light comes on and stays on, then it appears resetting the AC Adapter worked.
Hope that works for you.

It won't turn on. the power buttons light is not on or anything please help!!

start simple, use the process of elimination wall outlet power cord cord connection to the console is there an internal fuse setup in the Wii even though the power light is not on, did you try the console anyway;meaning the power on light may have failed

Wii powers up, Green light come on, then the TV screen goes black. I can insert and eject disc and do get a blue flash from the drive still only a black screen. Any ideas?

Test the tv you are using with another input, dvd player, etc to ensure that its not the tv unit causing the problem.
Secondly, you should try and get your hands on another AV cable for the Wii to test if the current AV cable you have is faulty. I hope this helps in solving your problem. Good luck.

My wii console will not turn on at all, the blue light will not come on. I have checked all plugs and cables and everything is connected. We have only had this wii console not even a year yet. what could...

it could be the power suppy mine went wrong after about 18 months, try ebay there the cheapest. you can test if its the power supply if you know someone with a wii and use there power supply or know how to use a multi meter and check if you have a voltage coming out of the wii plug end. if you dont first try replacing the fuse in the wall plug. hope this helps.

Wii won't power on

Happened to me too. Wanted to get a replacement Wii, but then I thought it might be just the cable, so I lent my cable to a friend with a Wii to test, if it works. It did, so I was really on the verge of returning the Wii, but then I tried the cable once more and suddenly it worked. Dunno what the problem was, but it solved itself, leaving the Wii unconnected for some time (more than 5 minutes, though...)
