The printer cartridges are installed by lifting the lid. There are actually two lids, the one where you put in your paper document to print/scan, and another lid beneath that one where the cartridges go. Kinda remarkable that Lexmark doesn't include this info with the printer. It took me 20 minutes to find out where they go. :(

theres a guide on how to manually reset the counter here unless you replace or clean the waste pad from here on in regard your printer as a ticking ink bomb. put it on a tray with a lip just incase of an ink overflow and dont put it on the carpet.
Try this really quick and see. uninstall the printer completely, take out the the inks and replace them. then follow the initial steps you used in installing the printer when you bought it. If it doesn't work, try installing it on another computer. Cheers!
When you say it doesnt come out do you mean you dont know how to remove the printer catridge or is the loader not visible for you to put your hand inside to remove the cartridge?. Normally Canon Printers have the ink that when you push straight down it should come right now . View this image http://www.trustedreviews.com/images/article/inline/5674-mp210cartridges.jpg there you see the actual printer you have and if you push down on each cartidge it comes right out and when you insert the new ones you start by putting the bottom part in and then pushing them back up to position sorta undoing what you did when you took them out. Im new on here so if my solution helped you please give some good feedback on my answer thank you
It sounds like you removed the plastic object and protective tape, but can't get the cartridge to sanp in place. Be careful not to touch the the corner where the tape had been. Slide the cartridge at a "Slight upward angle" to get the leading bottom edge in.
hi alyciaadamo; im not sure but i think uninstalling and reinstalling will not get the printer set back to default settings. can you navigate through the menu even if you see the error? press the cancel or something? if you can, look for reset factory settings.
also try to remove all the ink cartridge, and power cable from the printer, wait for 30mins and try it back.
I just want to know if your using genuine lexmark ink for you printer. :)
in the printer driver there is a option that whenever you install a new cartridge it has to be reset otherwise it shows the message the above you quoted. one more option is there that is change the chip of yellow cartridge and black, after doing this please whip circuits of the cartridge and printer carriage block before installing the cartridge
