Won't read the discs.
SOURCE: We have a Panasonic Blu
It sounds like the bluray laser is worn out. Try cleaning the lens with a Blu-ray lens cleaner. If that dosen't help it might be the blu-ray laser it self. The laser is dead. If you are under warranty the call the manufacture for service. Shop around for current retail prices. Bluray players have gone down alot and it might be better to go ahead a buy a new player.

Hello
Clean the laser pickup lens by insert a lens cleaning disc into the set, and play it at least three times. If it does not help you. replace the laser pickup unit, with same type and number. OK.

try to clean the eye lens with dry cotton or tissue. if not, the motor or dynamo is defective.

8 gB is SDHC. Try less than 4 gB maybe even 256 mB to see if it will read those cards. But lately, all stores only sell HC cards. Try ebay, and they may charge an arm and a leg for old cards?
SOURCE: Panasonic DVD player dvd cv37 won't play discs.
The problem is in the laser pickup assembly, over time the laser becomes weak until it can no longer play the disc. Buy a DVD cleaning kit and follow instructions, this may give more life to the player, if no change! it is far cheaper to replace than to repair.
