There should be an input button on either your remote or TV.

How to connect a Panasonic PV-V4520 vcr to a Samsung digital tv UN32EH5300FXZA

Hello.

If your Panasonic has RCA and S-Video or even a SCART sockets then that is not necessarily old technology but still useful to view old VCR tapes. The TV is or may be the problem. As I don't have this Samsung TV model, I can only make a suggestion from past experience, as I used to be a cameraman/movie maker. Look at the rear or side of the Samsung TV. If you see RCA, S-Video or SCART outputs, aside from other outputs, such as HDMI 1 or 2 and also the laser output, but these are the least of your concern. Normally, VCR tapes are standard VHS, unless they are S-VHS, this format can only be viewed via RCA cable. If your TV has RCA INPUTs, not OUTPUTs, plug a good RCA cable, Yellow, Red, White in the INPUTs of the TV and then plug the same colours in the Panasonic OUTPUTs RCA sockets. Switch both devices on and then on the TV, press the Input button of the TV Remote and scroll the feature where it says VCR or RCA (most TV's have a picture of the 3 cables plugs) This is a bit tricky because as I said I don't have a Samsung TV so, I can only suggest what a VCR input would look like on the screen. Once you found the right input, press the OK button on the Remote and the screen should either turn black or is ready to display the video from the Panasonic. Press play on the Panasonic Remote and see if the film appears. In most cases, it's a simply straight forward operation. If the video tapes are of S-VHS, then you can still view both but if you had connected the S-Video cable instead of the RCA, you'll get a better picture quality, colour is more controlled and sharp. Alternatively, you could save all your old VHS movies, weddings, events, whatever you got there, by converting them to DVD yourself, so that the picture quality remains the same. You need a powerful computer, Windows 7 or an i5 or i7 would do better. You need a 1394 digital video capture card, also called firewire. Most older computers have it already installed, XP, Vista and early Windows 7. There are special connecting cables that are plugged at the rear of the VCR and the capture card, where one end is a firewire plug and the other can be either a stereo type plug or an RCA plugs. The choice is yours, but who doesb't want to save precious memories on DVD?

I am having issues with my RCA Scenium D52W135D (playstation 3 connection). Recently, I have been having a very specific problem with this combo. I have it connected using HDMI to a Pioneer receiver...

Had the same problem. With mine the other day you probably moved your Playstation 3 too another tv and set your 1080i,720,480 to high deaf on settings in Playstation. You have to change them back to automatic that TV says HDTV but it only plays Playstation 3 on 480 checked in settings of Playstation. Played mine for 4 years on that TV moved and got a 3d wifi then dad got him one And was going to trash that RCA but I told him I would take it for now too keep from buying another TV at this time got it in my new home wouldn't play video but it. would sound tried different cables but still now change. But remembered i changed all of my settings over when I got 3D TV. Playstation 3 hadn't been on know other TV. Since I owned it but that RCA now won't work then came to me last night and playing it on both TVs but you have to change the settings on it before moving it or you cant see the screen to fix it do that guarantee it will fix it. Like you said everything else works PS 1,PS 2,DVD, cable, but PS 3 won't its the settings in theme, and audio.

We have an old style(not slim) Playstation 3 and cannot get either av channel, on the TV detailed below, to play it. all plugs are plugged in. we have tried both scarts and the side (yellow, red, white)...

If you've used the HDMI port or another sort of connector and you're switching to a DIFFERENT connector, you need to default the video output on the PS3.
First, you need to plug the PS3 into your tv with just the cables you're going to be using.
Then, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
It should beep and a picture should appear on your screen.

Hi. I have an old RCA tv, model # T09081bc. I was hoping to hook up my Playstation 2, but the best result I've gotten was a black screen. I have two different cables for it, one that plugs into the cable...

After you plug the Yellow (video),Red (audio 1) and White if Stero (audio 2) turn the Playstaion on, now turn to chanel 3. does it work? if not look for selector on TV (video input, aux) or use up-dn chanels until you get playstation screen. You can also plug the round antenna cable from TV to unit and set TV to 3 or 4.Good Luck.

Blue screen?

I read about a similar problem and used the cords that came with the ps2, that ended up working. I also just bought a remote for the tv, so that fixed the channel problem.

Setting up TV

There probably is a TV/Video button on the bottom of your TV. Push the button until the screen changes to a regular screen. The TV/Video button is also on the remote most likely. Just keep pushing it. Often there are 2 or 3 aux channels. Hope it works!

Samsung tv/video panel lock

if you have a universal remote ( i just used the all for one 4 model )
1 ) press the vcr button. 2 ) hold the magic button down wait for 2 red flashes. 3 ) enter code 0240. 4 ) press the power button on the remote tv will turn itself off. this will get the panel lock off the tv.
i have just done this after 30 mins of trying to work out why the panel lock would not come off with trying the tv codes. you have to use the vcr codes. my tv is now working and my grandson can play his playstation again with no problems just had it working.
