Theres a red x on my wireless icon on my laptop


The red x means you have no internet connection.

Having problems connect my child DSXL to the Internet please advise


This will get you a wireless connection to the internet if you have the approprite internet wireless modem.

Can't access Internet: " the service to detect the status is turned off".Error 1068?


Click Start, and then click Help and Support.

Under Pick a Task, click Use Tools to view your computer information and diagnose problems.


In the Tools area, click System Configuration Utility.

In the right pane, click Open System Configuration Utility. This opens the System


Configuration Utility.

Click the Services tab.


Make sure all the following services are turned on. To turn on a service, click to select the check box.


Application Layer Gateway Service

Network Connections


Network Location Awareness (NLA)

Plug and Play


Remote Access Auto Connection Manager

Remote Access Connection Manager


Remote Procedure Call (RPC)

Telephony


Click OK, and then click Restart.

After Windows restarts, rerun the Internet Connection Sharing Wizard.

Not able to connect my laptop to internet. it


Some laptops will recognize the signal from where you tapping from. You may need to go to your settings & chec that you are public network. make shure that your settings will allow others in your network.

Cannot establish network/internet connection.


Hi,
Click on start and then run (XP), search in Vista type ipconfig /all in the (make sure there is a space between ipconfig and the /).

This will test your connection settings.

Restart the PC and see if you can connect to the internet.

If this does not work post back.

check weather urwireless zero configuration is disable go to the my computer right in that manage in the manage go to the services in that go to the services in that one service is there in down wireless zero configuration just start it if already start just go for the restart

New laptop computer internet hook up


make sure everything (hardware/software) are in good working condition i.e properly pre-installed, then click on start, and interet connections, the wizard will ask you on how you intend to connect to the internet, just make sure you choose the correct options and off you go. you'll be on. good luck.
