alltel told me they purposely put a block on these phones so you cannot download any ringtones or music from anyone but them.  its ****.  the rep also told me there is a way to unlock it for free, but i would have to search google for it.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hi Whitefang.

It sounds to me like you have maxed your memory, so when you put on new files it deletes older ones.

Instead of using HTC sync for file loading just use Mass Storage and select memory card on your pc/laptop to upload files to any folder you wish. Make a "music" folder on your Sdcard and it will make things so much easier.
Also if you use the "Mass Storage" method your pc/laptop will tell you if your memory is full or nearly full.

When you plug in the USB cable into the phone use the connect to pc option instead of HTC sync.

Cant put music on my phone ugh

Try the following:

1. Attach your USB cable to the Phone and Computer.
2. Navigate your computer, to find the phone. It generally appears as a USB stick or Ext HD would.
3. Within your Phone there will be several folders. One will say music.
4. You can copy music (MP3 format) to and from your phone this way.

I hope this helps. Regards,

I also purchased the samsung sch r500 in august, because of the mp3 player, and i have yet to figure out how to get it to play music. i have formatted the sd card.. used a card reader to put the mp3 music...

i had this same issue....make sure all the songs are in .mp3 format, or they wont play. go into "my computer" and get into the sd card. make sure there is a folder named My_Music. Next, right click on each audio file, and click on properties, and copy and paste or drag and drop the files into the My_Music folder. put the sd card back in the phone. with the phone closed, hold the camera button in (button on right side of phone) until music plays or it says loading.

Put music on card mp3 player i880 phone

You can use Windows Media Player's "Sync" function to transfer music from your music library to your phone, but you need a data cable to connect the phone to your computer, or you can use a USB memory card reader that allows the computer to see the memory card as if it were another drive. NOTE: The i880 can ONLY play music files in an .mp3 format; if they are in ANY other format, they will not even show up on the song list on the phone.
