Hotpoint aquarious making loud gring noises and sometimes does't start

sounds like motor brushes. physically check your motor for black power, that's a sure sign of brush wear. could be seized bearings, try spin the barrel of the washer by hand, if it's stuck/very hard to turn, thats a sure sign of bearing seizure.

My washing machine won.t spin or turn so could it be the motor as i can,t hear it or would it be the brushes.i,ve got a hotpoint aquarious

I would try the brushes before replacing the motor, or you may have a broken wire. Before attempting any repair unplug the machine from the mains. The brushes on these motors are held in with 2 screws and although it may be a bit awkward they can be changed while the motor is still attached to the machine, but it will mean tilting the appliance so it is resting against something rather than just proping it up . Aquarious wd63 washing getting grey stains at end of wash cycle

Hi.
Can you tell me? Does the washing machine sound noisier than normal in spin? Does it sound rough?

The grey marks could be drum bearing wear causing oil from the bearing to enter the washing machine. Sometimes you may see grey or black dots on your clothing.

If this is the case then repair cost is typically around £100 depending on where you live.

Hope this helps

Hotpoint Aquarious 1200 IE When spinning the drum ocsillates violently and is very noisy.

Remove drive belt, and spin drum by hand, if noisy or rough, then bearings have failed, if no noise, then could be suspensioon leg problem.
