Click on the icon with the green arrow in the notification area (next to the clock) a small notification about Safely Disconnect will appear listing all the connected devices - click on the entry corresponding to your GoFlex and wait for the message telling you that is safe to do it or, in some cases the icon will blink (that depends on how your pc is set up). Once that is done just take out the USB cable.
I have a Philips go-gear 4GB player. There is no charger included. To charge the player, use any firewire/USB cable and connect the device to a PC or laptop. While the device is charging, the battery icon is blinking. When it is fully charged, the battery icon will stay static.
To copy to the device, open Windows explorer. Look for the Philips Go-gear folder icon. Open the Philips folder and Copy you music files inside the device's my music folder. If the file is video, copy the file in the my video folder.
Once the device is fully charged, disconnect the device by right-clicking on the Safely Remove Hardware icon on lower right portion of your PC screen. Select Safely remove hardware then Choose the philips go-gear device to eject.
Power on the device then use the navigation keys to select the files you like to play. Click ok or the play button.
You need the following things to transfer songs from your PC to mobile.
You need a USB cable that is compatible with your mobile and comes with its packing
You need a disc (usually a mini disc) with software that facilitates communication between your PC and your mobile. It also comes with your mobile package.
Insert the disc in the PC Disk drive and install the software. Then simply connect your mobile with the PC via the USB cable. The PC will detect your mobile and then go to "My Computer" in XP and "Computer" icon for Vista and Windows 7 and click the icons you will see the Hard Disk partitions. You will the icon appear for your mobile. Double click it and just copy paste from your PC, Your favorite music to your mobile container window and enjoy!
Its a common problem with the pendrive, in windows. some time it doesnot detect or not showing clearly that device. you have to check your pendrive manufacturer and driver details. and also check it out driver signing.
Do you have mapped network drives on your computer? If you have this
may cause your problem. When you insert the PEN Drive into USB and
the "safely remove hardware" icon appers try to right-click on it and
choose "eject" or "remove" (don't remember :), then pull the PEN
DRIVE from the USB and connect it again. Go to Windows Explorer and try
to open all your mapped drives, then the content of your PEN DRIVE
must be loaded into your Windows Explorer. This is happened sometimes,
because PEN DRIVE try to assign the first free drive letter after
your phisical drive letters, and if you have a mapped drive letter, the PEN DRIVE assign one of them.
