Question about LG 42LC2D 42 in. LCD HDTV

Sudden power failure

I am having trouble with my Swisstec S19/8 television. Upon turning the power on, assuming it is plugged in, the television light is supposed to glow red for standby, which then turns green upon pressing the power button. Yesterday, I could hear crackling when I turned the power on, and the red light disappeared completely even though the power switch was on. I was able to fix the problem by repeatedly turning the power off and on, but I could still hear crackling after a few tries. There was no crackling when the television was on. Today, I experienced the same problem. I switched the power on, but heard crackling and the power failed. I tried a few times, and successfully turned the televison on, but after a few hours, the power failed. After this, I could not switch the power on at all. I could not get the red standby light to appear. I have had the television for a year, so no longer have the packaging, so could not call the support line.

No Power yet the red light on.

I assume you mean that the TV has no picture but is connected to an electrical outlet. The red light means that the TV power supply has power. If the power button on the left of the TV and the remote do not work to turn on the TV, then the connection between the power supply and the main board or the main board itself has a failure. The failure could be at the buttons if the remote works. The IR sensor could be bad if the power button works and no remote works. (Check the remote with a digital camera and a second person. Take the picture just as you press a button on the remote.) has some of the parts for the TV. It doesn't have the main board. might have other parts.

I hope this helps.

My hannspree tv screen goes black blank

If the picture shows a picture briefly upon power up then goes off after a few seconds, you have a back light fault. It could have a problem in the 24vdc circuit, failing back light inverter board, or a blown CCFL lamp.

Television display

This normally causes by failure of power supply board. Some time it causes by failure of inverter board, in this case you can see the picture moving on the dark screen as it has no back light.
