Somehow in handling the remote control I pushed a button or combination of buttons and now have a blue screen with a lock symbol in red in the top left hand corner. I've tried turning the tv off, and unplugging it, as well as a combination of buttons on the remote, but it still is there. What do I need to do to remove the lock?
blue screens are common when your set cant find a signal. might of switched it to video mode .find your menu on the remote and go to cable channels and press the autotune and should find and remember all usable channels
the exact same thing JUST happened to us, my daughter unknowingly pushed a button, or a combo of buttons on the remote, we got the blue screen with the lock in the left hand corner, tried ALL of the above (we have the same tv, insigna, only 2 yrs old), I typed the problem in on the net and got the solution, pressing the display button worked!!! Thank U who ever knew this!!!
it is due to vertical section.
in tv there is one control called vertical hold control.
scrolling down the screen will be ok if you adjust it .
