My Sony Hi8 casssete spring cover broke, so took the screws out of the cassete, removed the two reels and inserted it into a new Sony Hi8 blank cassette housing. Put the screws back in and played it back on my Sony Hi camcorder. Now I can hear clear audio, but I no video other than just white screen. Where did I go wrong.
Before I changed the cassette housing I replayed the tape and I cold see audio & video. The problem only began when I changed the housing to another idential Sony Hi8 blank cassette.
