Question about Saeco Incanto Classic Espresso Machine

1 Answer

Rinsing the incanto

Our incanto is used for making espresso. sometimes we use preground. I like to rinse it after each cup using the preground without coffee. our regular coffee seems greasy, so the machine gets clogged. does the rinsing after each cup increase the clog? should i just leave it alone and let it rinse itself when the machine is restarted later in the day?
on person in the family thinks the rinsing is making the problem worse by forcing grounds in.

Hi,

If you will clean it after using a preground coffe, open the door and take out the brewing unit (central unit) and wash it in warm water instead.

Make sure to descale your machine regularly.

Sounds like the the shower screen under the red o-ring in the brew group needs to be cleaned, you can remove the screen and clean or you can purchase some espresso machine soap puro caff or puly caff, and run it through the brew group using the preground method the clean out coffee oils.

Try descaling it manually- by adding the descaler into the tank, letting the machine warm up and then open the water spout to fill one cup at a time. wait 15min. in between. Also clean brew group and grinder.

Saeco Incanto -- no coffee coming out

After I posted this I decided to descale the machine again, even though I'd just done it a couple of weeks ago. After descaling and rinsing I tried running water through the brew group by pressing the pre-ground button, then holding down the big cup button. Still no water, but then I turned the little knob on the coffee dispenser counterclockwise, about half a turn. It worked! I rinsed it well, then made a cup of delicious espresso.
