Question about Epson Stylus 1400 InkJet Photo Printer
When i do an A4 or A3 print out there is one small section an inch in from the left hand side of the page where there is a blip (which forms a misaligned line down the length of the page) - it's almost like it skips (like a scratch on a record) but i can't see any foreign objects in the machine - after every few print both red lights flash erratically on the front too...
It's more likely to be some dirt or soiling on the calibration strip which runs along the back of the printer and through the back of the printhead..
Look for a bit of clear plastic which has lots of little black lines on it... this is the calibration strip... Chances are you'll find a little dust or ink on it...
Whatever you do, DO NOT pull on this... Just gently clean it with some tissue and a lint free cloth but make sure you don't dislodge it.
