Different makes have different coloured dots but mainly blue dot is low temp and red is high.
The high temp will be to the left as you look at them.
Hope this helps & thanks for using Fixya.

Dryer will not get hot

The likely causes of the problem, in order of most common to least:
1) Th heating element has failed (broken) and needs replacement.
2) One of the "overheat thermostats" has failed, needs replacement.
3) The heater fuse has blown, if your machine has one.
4) A wire has burned in two, often near the heat element in the back or bottom of the machine.
5) A wire has burned in two at the connection (from the plug) inside the back of the machine.
6) A circuit breaker has "tripped" inside your fuse box, located in your garage, hall, basement, or wherever.
Be blessed.

Dry dont get hot i check heating element would thermostat cause this

If you have checked heat element, and it is O.K.,

then the thermostat is likely to be the problem.

Let me know how you checked the element.

Dryer wont heat

hi jimenez0512 this could be 1 of 2 problems 1 the heater element is down would need replacing 2 the lower heater element is down needs replacing which is the likelist problem it will be the first thermostat to the left should have a little ink dot on it when u buy the new thermostat kit it will come with both replace both u will only have to replace the higher stat within 2months anyway. Now if the thermostat has a little button on it press it and it should re-start the stat these are at the back of the dryer behind a shaped panel let me know how u go m8 peter

Crosley dryer-model # cde6500w

I believe that you probably purchased a kit of fuses which provides fuses for several different types of dryers. That way the parts store can sell you the kit without knowing exactly what type of dryer you have. If I am right about this, there is no yellow fuse in your dryer, you will need to buy a new one to replace the red dot fuse. Also, you will want to find out what is causing it to blow again so quickly, probably your exhaust duct is a little plugged, causing the inside chamber to get too hot.
