Question about Acer Aspire 5315 Notebook
After using magic jack, i now have no sound. device manager says no audio device installed. tried re-installing all drivers to no avail. is there a replaceable sound card in this thing?
It may show up under USB devices, your audio is Realtek, check to see if it's showing up in device manger. Old trick is to remove the hardware by deleting it from device mgr, reboot and it should pick up the hardware and then install the software for it. The realtek is what I am describing, make sure you physically remove the magic jack before doing this.
