Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I lost control to my audio through the gain control of some program I didn't clear properly. I'm using Vista Home Premium. My machine came with Realtek High Definition Audio as well as a plain sound console console. Plus I downloaded a couple of non-Windows and other media programs. They may be set on "Mute" or low volume without being visible. As an aside(I didn't investigate further) I had occasion to go crazy for a while because I couldn' get rid of an audio feed from somewhere that turned out to be my "Google" gadget bar hidden off screen to the right with NASA broadcasting. Three days... The problem survived several rebootings. Maybe if you have something like that with the sound on "Mute"???
