If the spots were in the rear side of page you should
clean the pressure roller

Put a blank sheet of paper down on the glass and make a copy. and if you will find that the spots are in the same place on the copies, then clean the glass in that area.

THE DRUM THAT MAKE THE COPIES IS DURTY OR HAS DRYED INK ON IT AND IT TAKES A SPECAL CLEANER, I CAN NOT EVEN SAY THE WORD OR EVEN SPELL IT FOR YOU
TRI ETHI LINE, CALL A COPY MACHINE COMPANY OF GO ON LINE TYPE IN MANIFACTURE NAME ONLY RETURN ,

THE CORRONA WIRES THAT MAKE THE ELECTRO STATIC IMAGING MAY ALSO NEED TO BE CLEANS, Q-TIP AND ALCOLHAL WITH A VERY SOFT HAND OR YOU WILL BRAKE THE WIRE AND THAN YOU WILL BE WITHOUT A COPIER

This machine works with stencil master. It does not have a corona wire. So I think you also do not need the poison mentioned.

Oki mb470 pages are not printing properly

It may be time to replace the drum. Check to see if the light spots are random or if they appear at regular intervals. Regular intervals would indicate something in the paper path, typically the drum. But don't rule out the fuser.

Magenta toner showing up in 2 dots on paper printed from Aficio MP C3000. Replaced Magenta toner, but dots have not faded. What do we need to clean, and what do we use to clean it? Thank you.

If it's a repeating defect, as in you see the same spots at an exact same distance multiple times on one page then it sounds like you have some debris on the Magenta Drum,
here's a page from Precision Roller for a replacement. (This is more to show you a picture of it than suggesting you replace it which is last resort.. expensive!)

The drum is a photosensitive metallic roller that effects the image quality,
if you remove the drum and examine it you should be able to see the spots on the roller.
You should have a drum for each color so it would be near the magenta toner cartridge.

IMPORTANT!!
The drum is very well.. delicate, do NOT touch the drum with any chemicals, do NOT touch the drum with your bare hand, and also do NOT expose the drum to light for an extended period of time.
You can use a Q-tip to very carefully remove the spots if you find them or you could also use a can of compressed air.
If you do not see the spots you may or may not be able to actually turn the gear to move the roller. If it seems difficult then don't force it, try putting it back in the machine print a page and remove it and hope you can see the debris on the exposed portion.

Did this help? Don't forget to leave me a positive review if it did! Good luck! :)

Unwanted spots on my printed document

You have a damaged drum unit. If you inspect the drum you will see a nick or ding on it. You can rotate it to look at it but do not touch the colored part. Only use the gears. Steven 818-888-0006

We have just changed the photoconductor unit on our Epson Aculaser CX11NF printer. When we print or copy, we get coloured spots on the right hand side of the page

Oh-ho! The coloured spots are what is known as "traffic lights". To be sure these are the symptoms: You will have a black spot then a slightly larger gap then the three colours regularly spaced, the pattern will repeat every 150mm or so. If you print a black only page then only the black dot will appear, print with any colours and all four dots will be printed. It is caused by a tiny/slight scratch on the photoconductor (PCU) drum (usually caused by mishandling, a loose or foreign object inside the printer or even trying to print on stapled paper!). Polishing the drum using a very soft dry cloth can often help to get rid of the scratch, but remember to keep it away from any bright light as this will damage the sensitivity of the drum. The traffic lights will be in line with the scratch so concentrate your efforts in that area. Also, while the PCU is out, take a good look inside the printer for any loose or protruding objects, rotate the toner cartridges from above with the front cover closed (opening the front locks the cartridge carousel in position). I sincerely hope this helps as the only other remedy is to replace the PCU with a new one.

Vertical line and five spots in every sheet of paper I print

Thats on the drum, time for a new cartridge.  The equial distance of the marks on the right side of the page point to the drum  which I presume is built into the toner cartidge.

Black toner spots appear on print outs

You have something stuck on your drum. See page 125 of your manual to clean it--it's just isopropyl alcohol on a Q-tip, but don't scrub. This happens (too) often to some people I know.

I think I damaged the drum, is this a recoverable error?

try printing 10 test pages and see if it gets at all better by the tenth one, you may need a new printer cartridge though, if you are buying refurbished toner cartridges you get a bad one every once in a while but you can usually return it

Spots when printing

It sounds to me like you may have 2 low or defective toners, the Cyan and the Magenta. If you have another machine like this available to you try swapping these 2 toners out to test the theory or you can take these 2 toners out and spin the drum manually (by only touching the gear) checking to see if the spots you see on the pages correspond on the applicator roll of the toners...
