Question about Adobe Photoshop Elements 6: Windows
Used the tool about a month ago. After first use it said there was a program error and wouldn't work. I ignored it and didn't need it until now and...it says the same thing. Program error! Everything else works. I would hate reload it and then all my filers I have.
I just replied to this question of yours on another post.
I also, reading it again here, notice you would "hate reload it..." - pls note one of my options, to delete the preferences, is as reloading as what you are doing is deleting all that you have customised in the program. Read below, again....
I have not experienced this, but there's talk about some plug-ins effecting the clone tool's function.
A couple of suggestions to try:
- Remove you third party plug-ins one by one until you find the one that affects how the tool works. Bare in mind that some removals may require a restart to be effective.
- Delete your Photoshops preferences, hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift when launching Photoshop until a pop-up window asks you are you sure you want to delete the preferences. NOTE that this will delete all your p'shop settings and customisations, it'll be like you've just installed it again. Failing that, you can go to C:Docs&Settings\<user>\Applic Data\Adobe\Photoshop\6\Adobe PShop Settings\ and delete the file that says something like "Photoshop 6 Prefs.psp"
