Replace the water valve. It probably has sand built up in valve and is getting stuck up just a little bit. Replace the water valve and this will fix it.

BuIld date, please, for Whirlpool washer MOD GHW9400 PTO; SER. CSR4107238; Type199-085 BT/BD

talk with the service agent for the machine as they will be able to get the manufacture date from the serial number ( no guesses there) as for the leak when it happens will indicate where it is
at 10 years old it most likely is the ripple hose from the tub to the pump as they develop cracks in the ridges and valleys from age and will drip or leak from there
dripping when pumping could be pump seal or hose to the tub loose or perished
there is also a small plastic hose running from the base of the tub up to the water level switch which may be cracked or loose
hoses and parts are cheap so if the machine is not making noises and is following the program, a check on the ;leak would be the way to go

Very slow drip from water dispenser. How do I fix

Good day,
A slow continues drip, but still dispenses O.K. is caused by the dual water valve on the bottom rear of the machine not closing completely.
Only fix is replacing the water valve assembly.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care 2 leak after wash cycle

Hello, you may have a small drip from the pump or a small drip from the hose that goes from the pump to the rear of the cabinet. To make sure you will have to run the unit with the cabinet removed. A local service tech can remove the cabinet quicklyand isolate the leak.

LSR8233JQ washer water drips into tub from fill port

Yes the fill valve has been damaged by the silt. If you remove the hoses from the valve you will probably notice that there is either one or both steel screens missing from valve body. You cant remove the screens if they get clogged.
