Question about Sony BRAVIA KDL-40S2000 40 in. LCD HDTV

1 Answer

Sony KDL46V2500 LCD lost it's mind!

TV went into Demo Mode (whatever that is) and would not respond to remote. Also would not respond to onboard controls. Would change from one input to another when it decided to do so and would power on when it decided it wanted. Called Sony support and got some guy that spoke english so poorly that I had to have him repeat everything. Finally got supervisor to send out a technician. Will keep you updated.

After 3-4 days of the problem the tv slowly corrected itself??? It stayed in demo mode but then would respond to onboard controls. The next day or so it came out of demo mode but had poor picture quality. The next morning the remote started working and later that day the set was back to normal (except I had to re-tweak the picture settings. I swear, I have witnesses!

Unplug the TV for a few minutes. Then start over again. Also, if there is a code try the first/last 4 digits of serial and model#, then 111, 2222, 3333 etc and 1234 and 7890 let me know! hope this helps!

Wheni push input, i get the options but no arrow i push will move down to option to play vhs

not enough info , if your trying to change the tv input , make sure you select tv on the universal remote first , you either need to keep pushing input til it moves down to your desired input , or use the arrow key to move it down to the input. some require you to hit enter or ok to select , others just wait a second , it should change. if your getting the options menu when your hitting input , then the remote is not compatible with your TV / VHS / DVD...
If you get the input to change and your successful , make sure you hit VHS in order to call a command , if its still in tv mode , your only going backwards , make sure whatever your trying to control , the remote is selected to that device ... Good Luck ..
The Cable Guy .... hope that helps !!!

How to return from usb mode to tv mode without remote control for sinotech LCD tv manual

No other way. You should have its remote control to select inputs. I thinks that I've answered this problem, many times before.
If you post any more, please provide the name of yours with the post, so that I do recognize you and not to respond it, and allow any other to answer you.
Here I see this problem is posted by some 'Anonymous" person.
Whatever it may be, you can't select the input to your Sinotech TV; without its remote control.

VW37L 37 in. LCD HDTV input button wont work

Have you find out if the problem is with your remote control? For instance, you are able to control your TV using a Universal remote control. My 32" Vizio TV had a similar problem, initially thought it was related to my remote control but in fact the TV didn't respond either to an universal remote control of my SAT receiver that I eventually use to just turn on and off the TV. I've found out that the problem was with a little board on the TV located at the left down corner viewed from the front side of the TV and that receives the signal from the remote control. I found the board on ebay for about $5, replace it and the TV responded again to both original and universal remotes.

The store demo mode is stuck on my insignia tv. the user guide says go to menu and then setup and select plug & play. however the plug and play option is grey and it wont let me select it.

Are you using an HDMI cable? Go to input and select TV. Then you should be able to access the Plug & Play option and be able to turn off the Demo Mode.

I can't turn off the demo mode on my sony bravia tv

Press Menu on tv remote, go to Settings and select Factory Reset and press enter button on remote, tv will reset to factory default settings and turn Off and On again itself, now select HOME mode instead of Shop mode to avoid demo mode and go by initial setup screen instructions.
Above are generic info about Sony bravia tv, let me know model number of your tv if you do not see factory reset option in settings menu.
Thanks.

My TV had the same problem and I have managede to get rid of it. The solution is very simple. This displays mean that your TV is in the " Store Demo" mode and any changes you make will last only for 30 minutes and when the TV is turned off the settings will change back to the normal. Whether you TV is in the "Store Demo" mode can be confirmed by pressing the "Info" button on the remote and you will see that "store demo" appears on the screen. To change this mode to the "home mode" you will have to press the "Volume button" on the TV and when the volume sign appears on the screen then you will have to press the "Menu" button on the TV (not on the remote)and hold it down for about 7to 10 seconds. This changes your TV mode from "store demo" mode to the home mode. Confrim whether the store demo mode has been put off by pressing the "Info" button on the remote to see whether the store demo sign appears on the screen. The store demo is set by sales persons in the shops so that any demonstratation/changes that they make while showing to customers will be temporary as the settings revert back to the original.
