Question about Samsung LN32A330 32 in. LCD TV
Hi. About a month ago the sound stopped working on my 2 year old, Samsung LCD TV Model number LE23R8. I tried all the obvious stuff, mute button, audio settings, power on/off etc. I found on the web a comment that certain Samsung tv's have an issue with their Audio chip. It also mentioned a Firmware fix may be available (via USB thumb drive). If its of relevance I live in Ireland. Any ideas?
Try plugging in and unplugging headphones.
If you still get no sound there is an internal fault, and you need to call a technician.
Call the phone number listed on the owner manual to get support.

Please hook any amplifier or receiver at TV AUDIO OUT terminals at rear and check do you get sound of TV?
If yes, that means TV Amp Out chip is gone and need to be replaced.
and if there is no sound on TV audio out terminals / pins that shows TV has problem in Audio Processing circuit and related board will be replaced.

Did you try going through the setup menu to make sure you have the sound or speakers on? Also try connecting a headset to the headphone jack and see if you can hear anything. If you can hear sound through the headphones the speakers may be blown.
